One problem here , today I tried to break one wifi network and I started decrypting , I changed my mind and gave up in 1 minute , after 2 hours my phone was on low battery . What happened ? that script were still running or what ? because I closed anything related to cleven .

There is a bug in the wlan drivers that sometimes they get 'stuck' and consume high current (check the bleeding-edge drivers' thread for more info).

If you unloaded the drivers and closed all windows, them most probably that's the reason.

Hmmm, same think happened with me, also my n900 is setup to search & connect to known networks every 5min but every time after I use Cleven does not for some reason.

I remember fAircrack had something similar but is fixed now.

suggestion to you Dragoss91 if you have installed Conky on your n900 find the running program and kill it using the PID no.

You need to restore the internet connection setting (to your preferred one) after you complete and unload the drivers. Then all will be as before.

FYI, Cleven v 1-10-1 is now in extras-testing repository.

Mentalist has pushed the macchanger package in extras-testing which allows me also to push cleven.

Note that cleven is not yet in a completed version (i.e. missing still deauthentication) and therefore will not be promoted to extras even if you vote. The purpose is to have a working version while I push more unstable versions in devel. That is, use devel for development!

From now on you should use the version in testing to have a more stable version.

Hi, its been a long time since posting.

This Gui works very well. But I keep getting network disconnected as soon the phone sleeps. Currently I have power savings enable. I thought wifi connections were alive during sleep mode.

So it would be nice that Cleven disables power savings mode just for a cleven session.

CAN ANY ONE PLEASE UPLOAD A GOOD DICTIONARY TO BE USED FOR CRACKING WPA AND PROVIDE LINK HERE PLEASE.

guys, This is for you who search for dicrionary...

Why not just ask Google for it there, because nobody can give the link here individually for such old who has quite the answer google question. and when to do downlod Dictonary: Take the file box and copy the dictionary to: /home/user/.cleven/dictionaries
but more than a few times a question?!

I do not know why you not read at least the basic thing in the Wiki set by Saturn

rather than downloading dictionaries why dont you make it your self by inserting your own words,number & combinations....the more you puts the much better chances (i doubt it) you will able to crack WPA password....
remember dictionaries are created by inserting thousand of words,number & combinations but even a gud dictionaries took more than a day on a PC (depends on your PC spec) to cracked any WPA....
the best dictionaries is around 32Gb (try figure it out how to put it on your n900)....your best chances to cracked is using brute force not dictionaries....

i need dictionaries, and program, press inject, then monitor mode and wait 30,000/50,000 data packs so now??


for wep we dont need dictionaries, so press only monitor mode? and wait data? and after 30,000 data packs??

i've got a strange bug... in order to crack a wep network, after turning on the monitor mode, it cant seem to authenticate the network ie the authentication window opens itself and then closes after a second. happens every time with wep. any ideas/

i have read the first 10 pages and got tired. i really want to hack a wifi network since i am paying $13.4 a month for internet. i installed cleven from the app manager. opened it. dint face any dependency problem since m using kernel power 47. i dont know what to do next. i read the wiki and understand few things(very few) like first loading the injection drivers. as far as i read, everyone knows a lot. i am a noob at this section. can you plz guide me in hacking a wifi network and using it.

follow these step....

1.open cleven
2.at loading driver press
a.loading injection driver
b.enable monitor mode
3.then press the status bar to get to cleven main menu
4. at cleven main menu press the scan button to search any WEP & WPA AP in range....the default search time is 10 seconds...
5.after 10 seconds search (a popup will show search complete) press WEP button if you want to cracks WEP AP or WPA button for WPA AP...
6.if you pick WEP then press the WEP button...you will see a few AP listed below...now choose any AP you wanna cracked (highlighten)
7.then press the capture button below the AP list.....
8. a x-term will popup to show the capture to that AP....look carefully at the data...if the data keep getting collected then just waits until the data is at 30k-50k....this show that the AP is active...
9.now it the data is not collecting any then the AP is not active....
10.at this point you have to different way to do.....
10a.if the AP is active & the data is collected at 30k-50k then go back to cleven menu (closed the x-term) then press the cleven status bar & select decrypt captured...
10b.if the data is not collected then go back to cleven menu (without closing the x-term) & press the authenticate button...another x-term will popup showing it try to authenticate with the AP....it will show successfully authenticate or not...
10c.if successfully authenticate the x-term will not autoclose...if it fails then x-term will closed automatic...
10d.at this point go back to cleven main menu & press the inject button...another x-term will appears show it try to inject the AP....

i will continues if you have understand the step above...

i have done it upto 10c and i got

this was repeating. so is everything ryt now? data was collected upto 35000 whats next.

Now press to status bar area and click on show keys. If you got sufficient packets the encryption key will be shown

ok looks likes you have a minimum data collected...
now you can closed x-term authenticate windows & go back to cleven main menu....

here you press cleven status bar & pick decrypt captured button...

here you will see some AP list you have captured before...if its a WEP AP then press the WEP button...then highlighten the AP you want to decrypt & press the decrypt button below...
another x-term windows will popup showing it decrypting the AP...now look at the x-term carefully...there will be two possiblility...

a.successfully decrypt = the x-term open & closed within 1 minute

b.unsuccessfully decrypt = the x-term open & took a lot of time trying to decrypt...it will show unsuccesfully at the end (means that you need to collect more data next time)

now if you succesfully decrypt the AP then closed all x-term that is still open & left cleven only....
at cleven it still show the decrypt captured menu...so now press the back arrow button (upper rightside) to go back to cleven main menu....
at cleven menu press the status bar again & choose Show Keys button....
here you just press check for keys files...the AP you have successfully decrypt will be show here as a .txt files...
the last part is highlighten the .txt files & press read keys...the password of the AP you have decrypt will be show below :D
now you can use the keys to connect to the AP...


Congratulation...you have successfully cracked the AP...
remember this part is very-very important...
press back button at the show keys menu to go back to cleven menu & then again press the status bar & pick configure driver...here you will go back at the system configurations...now just press unloading injection driver to load back normal driver before you closed cleven....if you dont do this then your wifi wont works unless you reboot your device....

i can't update Cleven!
I downloaded 1.10-1 version from App Manager, but when I start Cleven it says that it is 1.7 version. I uninstalled Cleven and then installed again, but i got same version

minimum data for decrypting any AP is around 20k...the best chances for you to get the keys for any AP is at 35k - 50k....
since you got 35k of data you can try decrypt it...if unsuccessfull then collect the data again till 50k & try decrypt it again...
