Thank you, it works now :)
but how can I play mp3 quran files during reading with it ?

It's documented in the application. Settings -> Manage recitations -> add.

I know but I cannot blindly fix issues. I guess the only option I have is to drop the support for CSSU.

I think, you should contact a community developer (see p.s.1) to add support to cssu edition of this app i.e. only when there is a problem with it... till then you can just update new features and some patches to the stock n900 version... and whenever there is a problem with this app due to the cssu we can just call that developer to fix it.

(p.s.1) a muslim developer ...

(p.s.2) some suggested names... ejasmudar, MAG or someone we have a lot of them here...

@Transtech, unfortunately I am not really developer. I more of a script kiddy.

@Msameer, I have some small experience in Shell Scripting, python and C/C++. Is there anything i can do?

Re: [Announce] Holy Quran for N900

0.4.1-1 is there. Not many changes:
* Fixed the typo in the recitations installation instructions
* Took the new logo into use (Finally).

I was busy with the N9/Harmattan port and with work.

I'm thinking about implementing zip support for recitations so one would be able to download a zip file from zekr.org and simply use it without unzipping by just copying it to the device.

I guess that's the only change that will come in the next version.

I still cannot test CSSU so let's hope it won't get broken by accident.

I also cannot do much testing for N900 as I stopped using the beloved phone :(

However, the same QML and C++ code is used for both so I don't expect breakage.

What's duas ? Anyway, I'm not planning to create apps for N900 anymore.

Thats a good Idea... but I doubt the recitation performance will be same as unzipped one.

1. if you implement zipped files support there must be support for unzipped ones too. ;)

2: can you please centerize the floating bar below the verse (ayat), it would then be perfect.

3. Few verses (arabic) cut off screen when the font size is increased

anyways thanks a lot. :)

1) I don't know. Let's see how it goes.
I noticed that a lot of people are having problems with unzipped translations so maybe the zipped ones will make it easier for them.

One can also cache the unzipped ones at the cost of consuming more space. The cache could be emptied regularly by the application. Let's just see how the performance will be.

2) That's easy to do. Will do it soon.

3) Which ones are being cut off ? And what's the font size ?

I've been thinking that I should remove the current font size setting and make it simpler: Tiny, small, Normal, Large, Huge.

I don't know. It should work but it needs MeeGo Touch to manage the screen orientation. If MeeGo Touch is there then it should work. If it's not there then it will need some work. Someone has to test it :)
