Re: [Announce] fMobi - Facebook mobile client

Any consideration to running fmobi as a background notification service?

Also noticed notification sounds don't seem to work.

Re: [Announce] fMobi - Facebook mobile client

apt-get -f install -y
apt-get install libqtm-11 -y

finally solved my problems. no idea why terminal chooses to abort when i answer "y" on the continue prompt, but the "-y" addition at the end of commands works great!

It doesn't stay on when I'm using it.
Do you have those Qt hotfixes installed?

it would also be nice if it caches people's profile pictures. that'll help reduce some data costs and speed up the overall experience.

it has crashed on me a couple of times - mostly when i tap on things a little too fast.

Re: [Announce] fMobi - Facebook mobile client

I have the "black-screen issue", is it the same as white?
apt-get install libqtm-11
didn't fix this. It says some packages have unmet dependencies: libtqm-11-declarative and libqtm-11-versit
and "E: broken packages"
What does this mean?
Does fmobi go together with CSSU?

Notifications are working ok for me. I've tried them with fMobi and Kasvopus, don't have Sociality installed at the moment.

i am verry angry on nokia now , because they abandoned n900 from the start. how come android have everything and we have like, nothing, they have all kinds of apps fully function and we have to carry on in the mud expecting someone to make a better app( like a facebook client, or a fully portrait mode.):mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

i`m getting a white screen and i can't install " apt-get install libqtm-11 " because : apt-get install libqtm-11
didn't fix this. It says some packages have unmet dependencies: libtqm-11-declarative and libqtm-11-versit
and "E: broken packages"

and i can't install Qt hot fixes , because it tells me that i need libqt4-bearer-hotfix

please tell me if i need any catalogs for application manager.

to resolve the black screen you have to have root on your phone , and then you must enter in x terminal and type :

root

apt-get install qtquickcompat

...but this one is easy to fix: no, you don't need an additional catalogue to just:

sudo gainroot
apt-get install libqt4-bearer-hotfix

and then install Qt hotfixes as linked on fmobi homepage.

That eliminated the black screen problem for me, only to get me to the white screen, where I landed at your above issue...

What is with those darn:
Quote:

unmet dependencies: libtqm-11-declarative and libqtm-11-versit
and "E: broken packages"
???

Can someone please tell us how to get over all those differently-coloured screens with no facebook in them?

Re: [Announce] fMobi - Facebook mobile client

people with screen troubles, uninstall fmobi, go into FAM - faster application manager - and install Twingo and pgz Space Invader.
These 2 programs will install everything u need to running fmobi FLAWLESS... this is the noob way, but works :) + u gain a great game and the best twitter client :P
Then install fmobi and be happy

Thanks for the pointer. Btw, when pointing to an app, it's always nice to add the information that it's in extras-devel!
In the community repos there's a Twitter client called "tweego", but I guess you mean TwiMgo (with an M, not N). It can be downloaded here.
When I tried to install it, I got this message, that I am by know well acquainted with:
"unmet dependency: libqtm-11-declarative"
installing that failed with 5 other unmet depdcies for that.
Nice.

Nice.

thats why I told to install via FAM, so it will install all the dependencies automaticly and NOT "downloading directly the .deb and open with app manager or install via xterm" like you did ;)

Sorry if I forgot to tell that these apps are in extra-devel, but im curious, first thing that I did when I got n900 was add ALL the repositories, LOL

And sorry, I never know if its with N or M... english is not my native language :P

Hope you can solve your problem :)

Try logging out of fMobi completely and going into Facebook and deleting the app from your privacy settings. Then try logging into fMobi again and see if that works.

A problem with fmobi. I successfully installed it and logged in but when I try to open anything it says "No Data Found" "Error with the request, please try again later" I have logged in 2 of my accounts and successfully gave permission to Fmobi but I am having this problem. Is there a solution?

I think that i had that problem when i installed an old version of the speed scrip.

A long time ago i reinstalled the software of my n900, installed the newer patch and now i donīt have that problem anymore.
