Re: N9/N950 Email/Mail for Exchange - Get help & give feedback here
^ Generally even numbered releases are feature-add focused.
Whereas odd no. releases are focused on stability/perf/security etc. right? So PR1.2 will have an emphasis on adding many new features. And PR1.3 will be focused on less features, & more stability/performance. |

P.S. all releases are focused on stability/security etc. :) That's why for example client certificates issue most probably will not be fixed in PR1.2. |

Re: N9/N950 Email/Mail for Exchange - Get help & give feedback here
Hi, I just wanted to give a quick report about my experiences with my Nokia n9 (pr1.1) and my zarafa open source groupware plus z-push to mimic Exchange Active Sync protocol.
In one sentence: it works smooth, no strings attached. Installation of zarafa can be done with one of the many tutorials around the web. I'm using the latest version (zcp 7.0.4) and z-push 2 alpha. I was not able to sync with the latest stable veriosn of z-push (1.5.6 till now) for whatever reason. The thing is running on a fresh devian squeeze install on my own little server. If set up korrectly it works out of the box, you just have to enter the servers root adress in the MfE configuration, meaning you have to leave the last part of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/Microsoft-Server-Active Sync away, only entering xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (or the respective domain). The good thing is that MfE allows the port to be configured seperatly, so you don't neet it to stay on port 80 or 443. Helps if you want to run other things on your server as well. If you don't want to hand all your information to google or nokia, this the way to go. I hope this helps anyone, if you have questions feel free to ask me! EDIT: I feel like it's a good idea to mention that I am using a http-only connection, without ssl. That's due to the fact that I only sync in my home network... Things might get difficaulter if use ssl, especially with self-signed certificates... |

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...62#post1123562 i.e. Have you tried re-creating the account as "non-provisionable device"? Some servers won't let you ignore server-side policy. But if yours does, then this may fix it.... Thomas hasn't said a thing since Sergey's response.* So what was suggested may have done the trick. *apart from thanking Sergey. |
Re: N9/N950 Email/Mail for Exchange - Get help & give feedback here
Just wanted to make a note that I charged my N950 yesterday evening (full charge), and this morning it had completetly died (no battery left). The reason for this was (as earlier reported) that the e-mail client had been constantly logging in to my work e-mail server (with 5 secs interval). I hope that a fix for this issue will be available soon.

Re: N9/N950 Email/Mail for Exchange - Get help & give feedback here
Hi,
Has someone found away to get mail for exchange working on N9 when user needs a personal certificate? When user does not need personal cert exchange works fine but new 2010 server needs personal cert. We installed it on the phone but the cert went to user certs. Should it be at server certs? For example E7 works fine when we moved the cert to server certs. How can i move the cert from one location to another? Thanks for your help. -Aki |

Even if it already is reported, it can't hurt to lodge it again.* Being easily reproducible, useful logs/data can be more readily gathered. *Suspect your issue's #198, which I mentioned to you previously IIRC. If it is, your new report will be quickly merged... But more useful info than was collected last time may appear, you never know. |
