Re: Grand Central Invite
I'll give a hack... for everybody who is not in the states or any other country GrandCentral is actually working, or people who would like to have free inbound numbers in all countries and a really cheap forwarding service to a NON US number... there are many ways to make these, but it is the way I, for example need, living in Mexico and wanting to receive calls from France to my mobile... every service charges me about 20 to 40 cents per minute, so this workaround is cheaper...
1) Get a Tpad SIP account (you can be called by your friends with local access numbers in many countries and dial your 7 digit code) 2) Forward your Tpad account to your GrandCentral number (there is a small 1.7 cents minute fee) 3) Get a PhoneGnome account, activate SoftGnome Remote Access and Find Me/Follow Me (one month free) 4) Forward your GrandCentral account to your PhoneGnome SIP. So they call you in any country Tpad has access numbers (free) you pay the forwarding to GrandCentral, and use the free forwarding to Phonegnome to get the call in your mobile... at almost 2 cents per minute Enjoy your "free" forwarding month (Tpad fee of 1.7 cents still applies, but it still 10 times cheaper than a "normal" forwarding service to a mobile)!!! (Maybe you can cancel and open another account and go on forever, but this is not for sure, I guess you will need to buy after 31 days the "Premium" 25 USD package) DOWNSIDE: you rely on 3 services to get calls Other choice could be another service that permits SIP forwarding... but I haven't found one yet... Anyway, can someone send me one? yegaoo at gmail.com Thanks!!! |
