To be fair to debernadis, he did open by saying: I didn't like him.

You don't have to like someone to have respect for them, and just because you found a story to be gripping, doesn't mean you're necessarily puffering* up the story-teller by saying so.

* N.B. "puffer" is not a verb (it's a poisonous fish)

The colourful thing in the middle is the Apple hourglass equivalent. I believe it is notorious amongst iUsers, as some of them spend quite a lot of time looking at it, and could therefore be seen as a representation of eternity...

Ever said/thought to yourself: "Man this thing's so slow, it's taking for eeeeeever!"

The spinning beach ball, it's a wait cursor basically. In this case, it seems as if it is alluding to once it goes away, what got interrupted will resume; for example, Steve Jobs' life.

Tell me.. does that bring a tear to your eye as well? Let's not go overboard for a man you didn't personally know and kept telling people 'you're holding it wrong!' Think differently.

"any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee"

Nobody is a saint, but I think people here are just trying to say goodbye to a man who simply changed the world with his dreams...personally, I don't see anything wrong with this...

As one of the above-mentioned "stupid people", for I have bought and owned Apple products - even their phones in the past - I profess a certain satisfaction that such as I annoy you. It seems only fair.

Not content with being stupid, you also want to make sure we know you're annoying? ;)

Heh, I kid. I don't like Apple products, but if they make you happy, then they make you happy. That in itself is no bad thing.
