No, it looks like one of those China N900´s, there are alot of those, and SPEC wise they SUCK, 320x240screen 1.3MP camera (likely to be only REAL 0.3MP) under internal 500MB storage and i could go on.

Oh yes not Maemo, some generic china OS.

:D Thread hijacker!

I had seen your thread, but I am low on money a.t.m. Patience sucks, at least, mine. Just like gravity, that caused my first scratch on my n900, last week, b.t.w..

not sure why anyone would bring his or her N900 to a NOKIA care point, except to get another NOKIA model (N8?) returned.

noticed however on a local e-bay sort of site that some "mobile clinic" site was offering N900s ?new? for around 200 bucks
probably refurbished; not clear whether there is warranty but if there is they are possibly offering it directly, thus no NOKIA warranty

goodbye & good luck Craig :)

EDIT: just noticed Dr Frost's post
probably is a knock off...

Gravity took my N900 two times down to parquet from about 3 meters altitude... :(
Forcing my first dissassembies to unbend some "frame parts" ... :D
But the undestructible *N* survived both times with no serious damage. And it's still working fine like from day one...

back to Topic...

Bye bye Robbo... Take care and beware of the droids ;)

Cheers,

J4ZZ

i love my community and i dont think any other community can have so many intelligent members or developers and if i was you i would have bought another N900 or get it repaired (does not matter how much costly it was)

i bought a second-hand N900 and my usb port is still intact and working perfectly i take care a lot of my usb and put data cable in it only when i need to flash (except charger)it otherwise i use open ssh

BTW good bye!

sorry but i have to say this.

but you should have soldered that USB down

but again it seems no matter how many times i say it people here won't listen.....

How about the USB ought to have left the factory properly. The **** tells a customer they ought to have modified their paid for product properly? *smh*
