I also strongly suspect there's DBus messages flying around when calls happen. But I hope the API works, it would be much cleaner than trying to figure out the DBus API by monitoring messages.

I got the idle condition to work using the API so that when call is on-going idle conditions won't be kicked in.

There is a downside: it isn't possible to differentiate between someone calling you (but you not answering) and if you're talking on the phone. So, as an arbitrary example: if you use idle mode in the night to put on silent profile, when someone calls you then the device is switched back to ringing profile.

Anyone have objections?

I got a better idea after digesting it a bit. The idle mode will not kick in if a call is in progress. But if idle mode is on, and someone calls, the idle mode won't be deactivated.

That way if you're sleeping and it's in idle, incoming calls won't exit idle mode. And if on the other hand you're on the phone, idle mode won't kick in while you're talking.

That sounds better, right?

Does this mean I can use my rule which deactivates 3G when on a certain WiFi network, And also deactivating 3G when the phone is idle for a little bit?

The rules wont occur while im in a call?

Or will this just fix the 3g deactivating on idle rule?

Both will be fixed, although I've only implemented it for idle mode so far.

Im not entirely sure how to test if the Switch to GSM when on Idle actually works :s

But the Switch to GSM when using WiFi works! It doesnt drop the call! :)

Also with the GSM on Idle enabled it doesnt drop a phone call either :)

Will do further testing and report back!

Have you thought of activating rules via matching connected BT devices?

I guess you want to change rules when connecting to BT device on a distance, but otherwise you could buy NFC tag and using NFC tag bulider to make an NFC tag which can pair your BT device to your N9. Use the tag id to change rules. I've made it with my headset BH-111 and now it connects and starts the musicplayer (although I have to start playing the music with an extra click on the playlist, haven't yet figured out how to start music automatically with NFC rule)

Thanks for the report. I'll try to reproduce this during the weekend.

Hi, how about this issue? Did you see more?
Thanks.

I found one bug of profilematic.
Version: v1.6.1
Phone: N9.
I set two rules, one is set to Silent when 08:30-08:31 Monday to Friday, another one is set to Ringing when 17:00-17:01 Monday to Friday.
These two rules work well from Monday to Friday. But after weekend, it will not work on next Monday.
I need to deactive the rules and atctive them again. then it works well.
The bug is there for long time, and I couldn't find any change in every version.
Thanks.

Yes, I have a test version that might fix it. Please try this one and let me know:

If this version works, I'll put the fix to next release. Before installing this version you must uninstall Nokia Store version.
