SIP Call option
Hi,
I've succesfuly configure a SIP account on my N900 (Community SSU Installed, V 20.2010.36-2maemo16.8) When I go to the Phone application and choose to use the dialing pad, i can choose to make the call by cellular account or Skype account but not by SIP account. I'm sure the n900 is connected because I'm using an asterisk PBX and I can see on it that my device is on. Do I miss something. I'm sure it has work in the pass... Thanks for your help |
Re: SIP Call option
You need to set your Status online first. You can find it on the applet menu when you tap on the "clock"

Re: SIP Call option
not sure if this will fix it for you, but there is a setting in sip account 'use for phone numbers'

Also be sure that the settings are correct for your SIP account. What SIP provider are you using? |

So it's a very basic instalation... I have another SIP account with a sip provider (OVH) and I'm quite sure it was working on my N900 but I didn't use it for a long time and since he is on, I've the same problem as with Asterisk.. Maybe an issue with my n900... |
Re: SIP Call option
I just use VoipBuster, VoipWise and VoipBlast as sip provider :p works pretty well

Re: SIP Call option
I've just checked SIP call with latest (testing) CSSU and kp48 - everything works fine. So, it must be something else on Your device (software'ish).

Re: SIP Call option
I have notices something similar ever since I am on CSSU. I wasn't able to receive calls, they always went immediately to missed calls. The other way there was no option within the telephone to choose from. It seems there is a package being removed with CSSU.
Check out "dpkg -l |grep ^rc" if there is rtcom-accounts-voip-support (for me it was 4.140-1+0m5). If you reinstall it with "apt-get --reinstall install rtcom-accounts-voip-support" it should be working. Don't forget to reboot. Please anyone correct me if this a bad thing to do, but it worked for me |
