Hello! This is a great theme! For me probably the best!

New version is out (uploaded by @sifo) originally made by @Harick and some modifications adopted from @sogoodbye's original work, package contents modified by me! ;) hope you all find this theme perfect harmattanish ;)

great theme

one thing i noticed is that after i upgraded the contacts I had on the desktop are not visible and if I add a new one they are not shown... any issues why or how to fix this please?

Hold on every one... the problem with Contacts is being rectified and I have the solution ready, I will send the files to @sifo as soon as I get some free time and he will push an update for it.. till then sorry for the Inconvenience...

Great theme but wanna report that when unknown number calls me and i want to add it as contact it is impossile to do in portrait mode, in landscape all is normal. Also there is problem with ukeyboard - buttons space, shift and backspace are missing - i can use it cuz i know where they are but they arent visible, also when press a letter there is no sign-not became painted or zoomed.

1. About the contact adding issue it is from CSSU-T/S's Bug!!! I cant do anything other than blacklisting it in trasitions.ini file...
2. about the buttons problem.. Did you reboot? if not tell me after doing it... :) I will invistigate the matter then... BTW I dont have a problem with that personally. :)

I use this theme since 6 months and for first time i've got issues with adding contact - when in portrait there is a dialog box named rtcom-call-ui with two buttons - new field and save.When press some of them after 30-40 secs new dialog is open- phone app not responding close now?
About ukeyboard, yes rebooted couple of times and there's no change-buttons still missing, indication for pressing also missing...

Some remarks:
1. When I press Fn+Sym, then in the appeared additional symbols, there is no indication, when a key is pressed.
2. New SMS composition window - the SMS input field is black (recipient field is white) and does not differ from the background and this is quite confusing...

So far the problem has not been solved and Im using CSSU stable version so far there was no issues untill i update with this theme. kindly solve this issue at the earliest

Can confirm. Contacts disappeared from desktop when upgrading to 1.0-7, had to downgrade to 1.0-6 for them to reappear.

last night updated to 1.0.8 and after couple of reboots and restoring original theme files contact issue is solved, even ukeyboard is ok now! only bug remains adding unknown number to phonebook in portrait :)

For those who have installed 1.0.7 Update : Anyone having problems with theme regarding the contacts issue please || uninstall the theme> reboot > install the theme (version 1.0.8) > set it using theme customizer > reboot ||| done...

If you still have problems tell me... (p.s. This theme is in DEVEL repos so you must be knowing what you are doing!!!)

To all still on version 1.0.6: Please check after installing the latest update (v:1.0.8) and try a reboot...

If you have any other problem then tell me.

@jungleraver: Bug regarding "Adding unknown contact to phonebook using Portrait Mode in CSSU is CSSU's bug and NOT this theme's bug... so please keep irrevelent bugs aside... (this theme doesn't do anything to system files except theme related ones). :) Hope you understand.
p.s : you can alternately add contacts app to blacklist... see next post for more info... ;)

Contacts issue is solved in v:1.0.8, rt-com-ui with two buttons is CSSU bug...

1. Fixed in v:1.0.8 ... and reboot to use theme properly...
2. I check it myself... there is not an issue at all... (did you reboot)

please post screenshot if not solved. :)

All known theme related issues are solved in version 1.0.8... if you have problem with contacts adding in portrait, you can add it to blacklist in transitions.ini file...
found in [usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini]

That is not related to theme... see transitions file and add them to blacklist... :)

Themes dont touch them!

You are right, i found the culprit right in front of the Phone:rolleyes:

Nevertheless, a small rant:
Lame excuse for messing up a fine theme! :mad:
This used to be an unintrusive theme with dark, but visible fonts and small tools for editing the desktop's shortcuts, widgets und stuff. It lived up to its name, black. Was a quality, characteristic theme with proper tools in editing mode. Now i hardly can grab an icon because the tools are so huge. And the removal icon is red, shiver. The first day i received the N900 the blue fonts had to go from the device, now they are reappearing - like 'The Walking Dead'.
Now this is a completely changed theme, i would have expected a new name reflecting the changes of this fork to inform (warn!) users of the changes ahead!

Well, let's move on in life!

Btw. The contacts issue still remained on my phone even after several reboots, but i do not care anymore.

P.S. If someone still has a harmattan-black version 1.06 package, i might be grateful for anybody sharing!

I'm tried the theme on another N900 and it seems the contact issue is not properly solved... I'm investigating this issue at top priority... :) will solve it definately this time... hopefully!

When i try to install 1.0.8, my N9 is searching for dependencies for a while and finally Failed to install the same.
I'm on Pr 1.3 at the moment.

New Update v.1.0-9 coming soon, files sent to @sifo (Package Maintainer), you can see the change log below...

Changelog:
1. Contacts Bug properly fixed (again!) and tested,
2. Transitions file removed
3. Widget Edit tools button changed
4. Theme Stablized... No problems found
5. Minor Fixes

I have personally checked the theme this time and also rebooted (on two N900) and seems the contacts issue is finally properly fixed. I have also removed custom transitions file from the theme as its creating Non-theme-related-problems, tool icon in widget edit mode is changed as per @michaaa62 request to version 1.0-6 :), minor fixes here and there and theme is now stable...! :)

Please check and give your reviews...

Hmm strange...
1. When in N-series theme, the additional character (got after pressing Fn+Sym) key turns blue when pressed but in Harmattan-black v1.0.8 it remains black.
2. Probably I should have been more specific. Using the N-series theme, the New SMS window message body field is dark but the text rows are separated by lighter lines. In Harmattan-black v1.0.8 that field is all black. Of course, it is possible to write a SMS, it is just somewhat confusing.
And yes, I'm rebooting always after I change a theme... ;)

updated, but still no contact widgets.

In the last update it's like I can reselect the contacts that were in the desk, but I still cannot see them.

Is there a way to fix? Maybe with editing some config file...

1. Updating to 1.0.9
2. unstalling 1.0.9 and reinstalling it agin
3. reboot

of course i rebooted and i have latest version :p, but i noticed something !
in theme customizer i have unchecked the auto reboot after the changing......, when i choose the theme, then add a contact to desktop the device shuts off ! maybe it was unable to load contacts image ?? i dont know, but please check this problem and the related images names.

TransTech,

Do you have Maemeemo theme installed? It could be, that the current harmattan black theme takes some info&files from that and not finding that theme is causing all these problems for those who do not have Maemeemo installed...
Please check the paths in theme configuration files eg gtkrc etc ;)

@To All: Ok... I think the problem is with the maemeemo theme installed along with harmattan black theme installed... I will try another method today and see if it solves... and only release a new update when its 100% perfect (without maemeemo theme installed)...

btw can anyone check the problem is really with the maemeemo theme installed or just harmattan-black, because its really confusing here... ;)

Edit: Ok found it... The problem is with Harmattan-black theme + Maemeemo Theme + harmattan theme (white)... let me solve now... (i think there was some kind of sym-linking :( )

and non risk takers please stop installing theme unless the problem is solved...
