How to use Google Docs in N9

Hi,

We have a soccer team for young boys and I am a coach. We use Google Docs to edit and announce matches and happenings around out team. I tried to login to our page several times and the N9 browser keeps asking me to view the docs in HTML version which I donŽt want to. Is there workaround to see the page in ( excel format ) ??

Thank you advance:)

Looks promising...
Has anyone else tried several mobile Google services with it?
How does it hold-up?

Alternatively instead of this or the stock browser...
I wonder how well romaxa's latest builds of Fennec work for the OP's task?

Google Docs appears to work on a limited basis as does Google Maps. The UI is a bit clunky.

The key is to use Fennec and change the user agent to "Desktop Firefox"

1) Install Fennec
http://everythingn9.com/firefox-fenn...-the-nokia-n9/

2) Open Fennec, and on the Firefox start page, open "Add-ons for your Firefox"

3) Search for and install the "Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks" add-on
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...compatibility/

4) Search for and install the "Phony" add-on
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/phony/

5) Go to Preferences (not sure how get here in general, but if you are in the add-ons page, the icon at the top-left (which looks like two volume control buttons) is the Preferences button), and change the User Agent to "Desktop Firefox."

6) Have fun!

The hints for this came from:
http://shootspeak.com/2011/11/07/use...-for-nokia-n9/ (hint #7) and

GApp is basically just a webbrowser view wrapped in an application which opens the right URLs to have the appropriate HTML5 views of the Google Apps. I don't think you can download or even upload files to Google Docs with this.

GApp is basically useless as the loading times are long and small changes need much time to be reflected.

Even if you change the user agent of the browser to android and access Google Docs its better than GApp.

Re: How to use Google Docs in N9

I cannot view xlsx or docx on N9, and GApp is poor. I currently solve this by uploading the file to google docs and open webpage to view it. Can anybody know something like google docs viewer app or add a menu in the share function (where there is an option to "view file by google docs",etc...) Tks!
