But I guess that's not much help if you definitely don't want it installed...

I don't mind having it installed, but is there a way to prevent it from displaying all the info on the standby screen? It's a little too cluttered for my liking =/

Would a checklist to choose what to display on lps be possible?

Looks like there's the problem. Do you have any third-party repositories configured? Try removing those, then doing an apt-get update. After that, try installing the dependencies again.

That was it. I removed all other repos and then the apt-get -f install worked. Thank you!

The app is nice, love the extra information on lps. Gives me geek credibility at the office :)

I have been having problems doing a clean uninstall of lpsmagic. The alarm clock problem still persists even after an uninstall (i'm using PR1.2). Any idea what may be the problem?

1. Doesn't uninstalling from the Applications menu delete the whole piece of software? What do you mean by a clean uninstall?

2. What alarm clock problem?

1) I have gone a step further to clear my device after uninstalling lpsmagic. But after doing so, the alarm clock problem still persists. My alarm only rings for 1 second and stops ringing immediately. Moreover, there is no 'Swipe up' to display the functions when someone calls you.

2) The alarm clock problem is described as above. Many have had this problem before v1.4.1 of lpsmagic.

Hence, I'm wondering if some other files were affected in the install, and an uninstall cannot get rid of the changes made to the lockscreen behaviour? Would gladly appreciate some advice :)

Tell me, is it possible to pull in application-specific data? Something really cool would be to have listings of your online contacts, let's say the first 5 to fit in the allocated space.

hello, i have tried uninstalling ls-magic from the Applications menu. However, even after a restart, the alarm clock problem still persists (where the alarm rings once and stops immediately). I have PR1.2 installed, and v1.4.1 of ls-magic installed previously.

Anyone knows what could be the problem? thanks.

Re: [MOD] lpsmagic 1.4.1 - Add useful info to low power screen

Hello, admiral0
Thank you for your nice mod. Looking forward to see version 2.0, hope, soon... But now I am trying to resolve conflict with N9Qtweak app, namely with speedup transitions mod. It moves your info significantly to the right, so it gets cut. So, the question is - don't you know by chance what style file controls position of the info. I already tried asking author of N9Qtweak, but he got no clues (we tried to restore some files, but this doesn't help). Thanks.

Re: [MOD] lpsmagic 1.4.1 - Add useful info to low power screen

I had my laptop unusable for a while. I've installed gentoo and will be back developing (i'm on holiday till next tuesday - 10 april).

N9Qtweak touches the sysuid CSS. You have to restart sysuid after fixing the CSS. Also you have to reinstall latest lpsmagic to have it working again (it has only one copy of the "right" css and your original one as a backup).

Do you know any decent C++ CSS parser so i solve this once and for all?

It's the CSS again. Reinstall 1.4.1 and see if it works.

That's not something i thought of, but with external plugins sky's the limit.

EDIT: Also aegis, but we have inception.

In fact N9Qtweak also have backup and so restoring lpsmagic to usable state is not the problem at all - I am just restoring the state using tweak A4 (if you know N9Qtweak) and do refresh.

I also know that I need to do refresh after copying styles and so do them after any of my experiments. The question actually is: what particular CSS (with location, please) is used by lpsmagic, so I might restore it from backup after applying tweak.

P.S. unfortunately I am not a HTML/CSS-related developer and so don't aware of any decent CSS editors for C++.

Get the deb, unpack it, edit, repack.

If you try to edit /usr/bin/lpsmagic n9 will go in MALF state.

For ones wondering, i've done it once ... reflash or recover was needed

Does this path exist?

Did you try to install 1.4.1? That should automagically fix everything.

that path doesn't exist when i tried using filebox to find. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling 1.4.1, and then uninstalling again. The problem still persists.

Your install is borked. Don't play with sdk repo, you become blind.

Fix your /etc/apt/sources.list*

I deleted sdk.list and rzr.list from /etc/apt/sources.list.d and now it works fine . I just added them with N9 Qtweak

thanks :D

install lpsmagic 1.4.1

backup
/usr/share/themes/blanco/meegotouch/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia/style/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia.css

uninstall lpsmagic. overwrite that file with backup.

i can't find the path: /usr/share/themes/blanco/meegotouch/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia/style/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia.css, even after installing 1.4.1.

Only managed to find the path: /usr/share/themes/base/meegotouch/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia/style/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia.css

Any idea what has happened?

Well, i know what probably happened. You had lpsmagic installed when upgrading to PR1.2 and probably done somw funky stuff when upgrading to 1.4.1.

So now your backup is from pr 1.1

Replace /usr/share/themes/base/meegotouch/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia/style/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia.css with contents of http://pastebin.com/PKGZrTDB after uninstalling lpsmagic.

Restart and enjoy. hopefully 2.0 will solve this issue forever.
