Thanks for the tip but it did not help.
I'm desperate I've made a nice, tightened all the bolts, fit each part ... Again the same mistake ejected. :( Maybe the camera goes dead ... or led module. Flashlight app doesnt fire led. |

I have the exactly problem !!!
After replaced the camera bought from amazon when I switch on the nokia the red led flash for a second for me either . http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have tried to re-flash different firmware , reset clean everything change with new camera but not working !!! in ebay search 290875039769 have look here also http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=8836 it did this few times . |

Interestingly, I have used the battery of the Lumia 800 but since the same model then it's probably okay ...I got spoiled Lumia 800, if the camera module is the same as the N9???Is it possible to switch to the N9 that module???

QAD cleaner worked to fix the camera for me. Specifically clearing the gps cache. After years of use I had a lot of cache.

I have faced same issue sometimes. And looks like it relates to Cutetube
first. So I limit using Cutetube. |

same for me. i replaced the battery and everything works fine except the cam. i checked all connections but the only cable that have to be disconnected are the ones for the display and the battery of course. i didn't do anything else to the device.
is it rather a hardware issue than software ? maybe i ll disconnect the battery again, suck all electricity out and try again ;-) if you know another solution please post here. don't wanna lose my N9 but without cam i wouldn't wanna use it ..... |

well, no luck. reflashing didn't help nor disconnecting the battery. must have damanged something while replacing the battery :-/

Well, I never even unscrewed mine. Never tried to replace a thing. Haven't even droped the thing......camera just stopped working one day and until this day.......not working.
Multiple flashes, left it on charger for month's, left it unplugged for months - no difference. I don't know/understand how something can just stop working for no reason. |

OK, i remember that my cam had sometimes issues before replacing the battery. like it would crash etc. but i worked. so it seems to be an ageing problem or whatsoever. strange that some people have this issue after replacing the battery.
well, it s time to keep the N9 as a spare phone and look for alternatives. i can't invest all my spare time to keept this device running ;-) cheers |

I fear that my N9 is slowly dying or something like that. 1st, my calendar stopped syncing, then last night I started getting this camera not responding issue. Now, my contacts & messages have all disappeared & my emails stop syncing everyday during the afternoon/evenings (they say they are syncing & up to date but not true).
Might be time to start shopping - the Nokia 521 is marked down to $69 at Amazon & BestBuy again, it might make a good temp phone for now. |

I'm also having the same problem. It has happened 4 times in the last two months. Camera does not start, feeds do not update, mails do not download, and then after I reboot all messages, feeds and contacts are gone, while to regain mail functionality I have to delete and recreate all the mail accounts.
On "df -i" /dev/mmcblk0p3 at 131072/131072/0/100% (no inodes available?) /dev/mmcblkp01 at 0/0/0/0% (no inodes exist?) df -h gives /dev/mmcblk0p3 2.0G/1.3G/601.4M/69% /dev/mmcblk0p1 53.7G/43.1G/10.7G/80% How can I have space without inodes? Do I need to fsck the fscking phone? It really seems to be a space problem. When I start "camera-ui" I get Timeout when requesting for resources. Going to standby No space left on device: opening file /home/user/.omap3cam Setting camera pipeline to running state failed. Camera pipeline error: "Failed to configure driver module" (etc) --- Update 1 --- So I used Drop Cache and QAD Cleaner Free. Drop Cache did not solve anything, but I used QAD cleaner to clean /home/user/.grob/cache and now I have 2215 inodes available on /home/user. And the camera starts. How do I fix this? How do I get more inodes without repartitioning? Is it safe to clean /home/user/.cache as well? --- Update 2 --- The biggest eater of diskspace on /home/user is .thumbnails. What is inside this folder and is it safe to delete its contents? What else could I delete safely from /home/user? OK, I also found out why MyDocs has 0 inodes. No inodes on a FAT32 partition... :D |

Hi,
for me removing .thumbnails didn't help starting the camera again. How many of you were using phone torch or similar for a long time? I replaced the camera, same error. Maybe phone torch messed up something related to camera and LED-flash power? Because LED-flash doesn't work either. |
