SUCCESS! Thanks to ladoga's tip/clue. Now I wish someone can change the thread title to SOLVED]. :)

So, for all those having this issue, do the following:
  1. Navigate to /user/.config/feedreader folder.
  2. Delete eventssubscriptions.conf file.

Please note that the above actions will delete your current RSS feeds. If you want, you can backup your existing feeds manually (as in write them down on paper) and add them back in later (or maybe you can just edit the conf file but them being UIDs, no idea which feeds are which).

Hope that helps.

Re: [SOLVED] N9 feed update problem

Yesterday my N9 started duplicating every twitter and facebook feed entry every time it refreshed. I'd been in a different time zone earlier, which always messes with the feed ordering until I clear the whole thing and reboot, and this seemed to follow on straight after that. No amount of clearing and rebooting seemed to help.

I fixed it by disabling the twitter and facebook accounts and re-enabling them. Seems back to normal so far.

Just executing

Code:

killall rssatom
in the terminal should also work and is a bit easier. The sync must be underway for the process to exist.

I don't seem to have that app at all, nor rss....?
