ok... i have exams from tomorrow and i have already completed 85% of the instructions with pictures and step by step instructions.... so will be uploading v1 beta by weekend or by early next week.

p.s. project name MaeMeeMo is now final... its used just for calling all the tweaks and doesnt have any real image as application. :)

it will work for both modes if you have portrait and landscape wallpapers working perfectly.

i think we need a new thread focused on maemeemo wallpapers and would be great if anyone can make an app for it... (to solve the only downside of this project)

That's awesome :) :) Will be very happy if it can be used without the need to completely lose the maemo UI. Swappable option would be even more awesome.

Its not fully lost... you can get it back by changing the theme and changing the desktop activity to maemo one.
(if you have created one before hand)

Thank you, btw how can I make the slide to unlock feature to tap to unlock one (i.e tap anywhere on black screen to unlock.) please see first post for the lockscreen (photo and files)

and one more thing, how about making a Nemo one, (i.e. same as Meego one), can you do it.

did anyone successfully install it? i am a bit afraid i might mess up. bit confused. i just did upto copying the contents of QBW folder to home/user/.queenbeecon.dir. (although in the instructions its given /home/usr/. i dont kno. shud i also copu the txt file and the thumbs.dl file too. m a noob with qbw. total noob.

sorry... I had done a mistake... its "home/user/.queen_becon_dir"

just paste menu.png there, thats it.

Edit: where did that thumbs.dl come from... ? is your hidden files and system hidden files visible? (btw you on windows) (if yes dont copy thumbs.dl files on each step)

i am just doing it with my N900. no pc. when i extract. i get all the files including one file naming thumbs.dm. i dont kno what that is.

Half way through installing it...so far its going good..

Just two issues...i cant set wallpaper in portrait..it just stays black..no problem with landscape though.

Another is the latest Theme Customiser doesnt let u change App Shortcut size..Its grayed out at 96?? Any suggestions??

for portrait wallpapers:
edit homescreen in portrait and set wallpapers.

install theme customizer v63 and set it to 100 and then update it.

edit: i forgot to add theme customizer setting and instructions, with screenshots, i will do it tomorrow.

if urgent then set status menu visiblity to 0 and app shortcuts to 100.

I tried..held phone in portrait mode>desktop edit mode>change background>nemo portrait wallpaper..

Nothing happens..background still black.

i have theme customiser version 0.9-77..where do i find ur version?? urs seems an older one.

It's very nice transformation pack.
I installed it and it working very well.
But I prefer humanity theme + fastest transitions.
Maemo look is better for me.

Thanks... but I dont know how to make a deb of all these things, and according to me if a .deb is created it will only work for stage 1 and 2 and for stage 3,4,5 we'll need to create standalone widgets (which i dont know how to make). Stage 6 is just for stability and can be halfly incorporated into transitions file, and other half need to be done manually. (as they are optional)

If anyone (developer) can come forward and make a .deb it would be great, (p.s. and he can take credit for that)

It may work for CSSU Stable if it has portrait lock and portrait wallpapers. (but still usable, with less functionality)

Thanks... You can find the MaeMeeMo guide at the first page, which is quite easy to understand though its lenghty but worth doing if you want Nemo look on your Maemo5 N900.

A normal backup only packs personal settings, favorites, contacts, calenders, which is useless for anyone here.

A backup-menu backup is the one which compresses your optfs and rootfs (i.e. full system backup with all apps including all the personal stuff), which is good to be shared to solve your problem, if I didnt have any personal stuff on it, but I cant share it. (p.s. N900 is my primary phone)

The best thing is use the MaeMeeMo guide, and do it step by step. And if you fall into a major problem then, I'm here for your help. :)

sorry, its not possible for me to make a step by step video these days as I'm having my university exams nowadays.. (1th march to 9th april). The guide is very easy and i tried to explain it in least possible steps according to noob's mindset. btw if you fall into any problem then i can try to help you...

p.s. hard steps are supported with proper screenshots.
