Tap to unlock is the original unlock feature that Shakya made for Qt lockscreen so I think I can make it work :D

Thanks... You can find the MaeMeeMo guide at the first page, which is quite easy to understand though its lenghty but worth doing if you want Nemo look on your Maemo5 N900.

A normal backup only packs personal settings, favorites, contacts, calenders, which is useless for anyone here.

A backup-menu backup is the one which compresses your optfs and rootfs (i.e. full system backup with all apps including all the personal stuff), which is good to be shared to solve your problem, if I didnt have any personal stuff on it, but I cant share it. (p.s. N900 is my primary phone)

The best thing is use the MaeMeeMo guide, and do it step by step. And if you fall into a major problem then, I'm here for your help. :)
Thanks, found out the hard way :) Followed all the step (including the portrait mode) and phone started randomly rebooting. Restored backup , have thing up and going and it's time to have another try without portrait mode :)

I can check is it possible to make deb-package for this.

I haven't used every of these applications/widgets/plugins and not know yet how they can be configured automatically during installation procedure.

Are all these packages and resources free and open source? (I think Nokia Pure font is non-free, but it is on extras and it is easy to install)

wait... dont do the portrait wallpapers part if you are using cssu stable, because CSSU testing [v T1.2] has resolved that issue, so please leave that Portrait Wallpapers part if your are on CSSU Stable.

Yep, Update v1.0.2 is on the first post, along with Theme customizer screenshots and settings part.

Only CSSU Stable is having problem with portrait wallpapers and NOT portrait mode lock.

Did you use a fresh QBW and added the code in CMD and added the settings as shown in the respective settings screenshots folders.

Unless you put the settings right, you will have some problem making it work properly.

Except Nokia Pure font everything else is open-source and free, as you said Nokia Pure font is already on Extras so its not needed.

The main thing is the .deb package, It should update Harmattan theme, harmattan icons pack for white themes, add the lockscreen in correct place (qtlockscreen directory), and ask for changing the transitions and change that by creating a backup of the previous, install the wallpapers in the said folder, and apply them upon user's acceptance and add / install the three QBW (Menu, Date, Time).

p.s. QBWs needs to be remaked into a proper desktop widgets and added automatically to a new homescreen, and the menu widget to all other homescreens (again after permission).

If it is possible then can you make the huge project come true. :)

The GUI part is only three QBWs [i.e. App-menu, date and time widgets] which I think need to be rewritten as standalone widgets without using the QBW help. (i.e. removing QBW from dependency) as most of the people here will get stuck at that point. (stages 3,4, and 5), everything else is quite easy, just replacing and overwriting with backups.

Only put menu.png in [/home/user/.queen_becon_widget_dir], btw there is only one file i.e. menu.png :)

Is 'currently non-installable package harmattan-icons-pack-for-white-themes from extras-devel' used at all? Is icons.rar used instead?

but in the QBW i extracted. there are many files. naming M1 M2 etc, D1 D2 T1 T2 etc. all these are ping files

and should i just copy al the files from theme folder to usr/share/themes. not in any folder? cz i dont see any files in that directory. just few folders of the themes that are installed. same for the usr/share/icons

ok,

I have installed harmattan-icons-pack-for-white-themes .deb file from here but it seems to be some problem with its bugtracker link.

Icons.rar is a MaeMeeMo update to harmattan-icons-pack-for-white-themes, i.e. I have changed some icons in that.. (eg: network signal, etc)

p.s. MaeMeeMo update for Harmattan theme also needs to be uploaded to the repos, then.

M1, M2... D1, D2,...T1,T2... are in QBW settings screenshots folder and not in QBW Menu folder. Put the contents of QBW Menu folder.

You extracted on your n900? if yes then it messed up...

anyway... just put menu.png to queen_becon_widgets_dir folder and refer other files for respective settings.

p.s. inside QBW.rar there are 3 folders.

mount shows it /home/opt on /opt type none (bind)

i would like to suggest you to wait for some time... when the deb package comes out, things will be quite easy for you.

if you still want to do this, then refer to the guide and come to me where you'll get stuck or having problem, refering stage number and point number. So that i can look at your problem quickly.

Correct. But as you see at least I am interpreting guide wrongly (mostly because there are even small probability to do so).

Files which are going to the under /home/user can cause harm when coming from deb-package, so if it possible, put them somewhere else.

tahts because you have installed gconfig.. all you have to do is edit your background while in portrait mode (long press until you are in edit mode) then press change background and select your background.. this way you have two seperate brackgrounds for each desktop view, a portrait and a landscape :)

OH and big thanks to trans tech, works great :) good job, much appreciated and hope you did good on your exams

Looks pretty cool. But often the device freezes and only a hard reboot will solve !!

I know that.. thats why I named it as [Beta] version.. (i.e. It have some bugs),

I'm still investigation the root cause of the problem and will tell you when it get solved.

No, not correct. From your phone single file /home/user/.queen_beecon It is hidden file (file or directory name starting with dot means it is hidden) containing configurations for widgets, it starts with text:
[config]
version=1

It freezes more than twice a day. I too suspect the transitions. Will try with my old transition !!

Ok, I will try to change the transitions file and check if it solves totally, btw it freezes only once a day for me.

but suddnly my cam stopped working (gose black 4 non-reason) ,, i didn't compelete the steps yet ,, am jsut downloading the requirments !!

can u help me ,, can i do something to make it work ??

camera stopped?

if you didnt started this project and only downloaded the requirements, then it is not a MaeMeeMo fault. something else in creating problem for you.

please recheck your recent steps or installed requirements,

anyway try these steps

[option 1]
in xterm,

1. sudo gainroot [rootsh is assumed to be installed]
2. apt-get update
3. apt-get upgrade

[option 2]
reboot

[option 3]
update fcam drivers (assuming you installed kernel power)

i dint get this folder when i first extracted QBW.rar. u were tokin abt this folder before right? the one with the menu.png file. can u share other files and folders after unraring QBW.rar. except the folder u have given here. and sorry transtech i am not installing it cz m a bit afraid cz i dint see any successful installation yet by others.

That file [QBW File.rar] was for @AapoRantalainen he is working for a .deb package, you can use that file to replace .queen_beecon_dir [directory] and follow stage 3,4,and 5 seperately. [dont use .queen_becon file as it contains settings which still needed to be checked]

I'll try to post the sub folders of QBW.rar [linked at first post] later... namely, QBW Settings screenshots and qbw code [expcept qbw menu]

There is nothing to afraid of because you have already created the backup-menu backup which can revert back everything you had previously. (just like a ghost image of your phone). [only if you followed the begining instructions correctly]

A couple of members here have already installed it properly, but i would like to suggest you to wait till the .deb package is out. :)
