Re: [HOWTO] Comprehensive Firmware Flashing Guide for N9

Hi,

My N9 went off network all of a sudden and when I tried to reboot to sort it out, it has been showing SIM card error. Tried flashing with different combinations but stuck in the same place. Phone boots but gives SIM error. Trying different SIMs does not help.

I have gone through this entire thread but unable to find a solution. If I could get some help on steps that I could take on trial-and-error and hopefully revive the phone, that would be great. Many thanks.

Snipped output from flashing:

Re: [HOWTO] Comprehensive Firmware Flashing Guide for N9

I did have two N9 sold one last week. The one left is locked to TRE Sweden so cant flash firmware I have on my HD.

And I can't find the damn TRE locked firmware on the internet. Since the mirror site has been closed also.

I hate Nokia for killing N9 if only sailfish and 3G worked on n9 I would be happy. Because my Jolla also broken.

So back at my N900 until my Jolla get returned(still waiting for jolla care send me info how to ship it)

sorry for asking, it may be posted somewhere, but I will ask anyway, is there any chance to backup files, so you can flash backup?

Re: [HOWTO] Comprehensive Firmware Flashing Guide for N9

Hi.
I'm trying to reflash my device with DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_009 but I cannot download this version cause the server is down and I only have
version DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_001 to flash:

Anyone knows any other sources to download?

Thanx in advance.

Re: [HOWTO] Comprehensive Firmware Flashing Guide for N9

O.K. I'm back with my experience.
The problem was that I was trying to downgrade the software version.
In order to get the appropriate version I started Nokia Suite and clicked on 'reinstall' option. This downloaded the latest version of the firmware in a folder called Ovi inside my user's folder.

This is the file I used to reflash the device with flasher under linux, becuase Nokia Suite was complaining about problems doing backup of messages/applications etc.
Now, back to the duty of setting everything as it was in the first place .... :(

If someone needs this file, I can provide it :D

Regards.
