Re: [HOWTO] Comprehensive Firmware Flashing Guide for N9
CHOKRIMAATOUK,
Unfortunately, I think your flash memory is spoilt and you'll have to ask Nokia Care to replace it... |
Re: [HOWTO] Comprehensive Firmware Flashing Guide for N9
Very sad to hear this especially there is no Nokia Care in Tunisia, I even wrote one time before to them complaining not to be on board here in Tunisia. Also I had brought my handset not a long time ago from an expatiate friend working in Oman.
If any buddy can help I will be very thankful or I should forget about my N9. For your information, there was not any clear cause had made my N9 to enter in an infinite reboot loop. I remember that the battery was only completely discharged but nothing done at all except that. Sincerely |
Re: [HOWTO] Comprehensive Firmware Flashing Guide for N9
Hi CHOKRIMAATOUK,
You may want to try a full flash of rootfs+emmc although I am doubtful it would help. If it does indeed help it would really be a good thing as I understand your pain. If you need to send it to Nokia Care what you can is call the Nokia Care Centre directly in Oman and inform them you have this device that a friend helped you purchase as your country didn't have it. Now it has its flash memory screwed and you need them to repair it. They would give you their address and if you mail it to them they'll usually fix it and mail it back to you... At least that's better than having to bin the device :) |
Re: [HOWTO] Comprehensive Firmware Flashing Guide for N9
Hi All,
I am looking for help here after trying many things myself reading posts here and Meego forum. Let me explain this issue briefly. I have N9 64GB Black bought from Poland, I used it for 4 months. Initially on original fw then I changed variant code from Central Europe(059J1V8) to India(059J236),Even though N9 was never officially released here navifirm had firmware files. I know some people say changing variant code was not required , I did it via nemesis suite. It worked also. After that I flashed Indian FW and emmc. I was able to use phone without any issues. In fact I flashed it with same Indian fw+emmc 3-4 times due to issues with nitdroid. Phone was working perfectly well. Then I decided to sell it and that's where all issues started. I sold it to one guy, who also has one N9 earlier with him. Now he says that he always had problem of SIM error. He thought his SIM was faulty so he waited to get proper microSIM from operator. After getting proper microSIM, he tried that also which failed again. He checked with friend's microSIM and same error. Their SIM cards worked without any issues in other phones. This all he told me after whole 1 month I sold to him. I tried to tell him to flash phone again but nothing helped. Now this guy wants his money back saying that phone was faulty when I sold him. Which is definitely not the case. Phone was working with me perfectly. I have offered him help by trying to fix it myself. I got phone today and found that my problem is related to flashing of cmt thing. I found few threads on TMO as well as Meego forums but I am still unable to fix it by following instructions. I am referring to following threads. http://forum.meego.com/showthread.php?t=4728&page=22 http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=82314&page=3 Phone is working with wifi, bluetooth, only cellular network seems to be dead. In flashing progress I get following [f] cmt-mcusw [finishing 0 % 6050 / 6050 kB 3356 kB/s] It doesnt finish and fails. Please suggest me some path forward. I am thinking of checking whether this is hardware or software isssue. I guess I can test that by nitdroid. Right? If cellular network works in android then hardware reason can be safely eliminated. Please , Please , Please help me with suggestions. This issue has become kind of serious for me as that guys is doubting my honesty. I need all help from community. If you need any information, details please let me know. |
