Romaxa needs to be made aware, I'll shoot him an email.

I figured it was the whole harmattan repo not being signed and everything.
If it does turn out to be 1.3 stuff then so be it but I know the repo not being signed is hurting me.

@latency
Just use dpkg -i with the .deb each time. No need to uninstall. The system will merely overwrite the current installation. Also, if you did uninstall, it might take with it the libs which from what I've seen, you might not be able to get back at this point since the harmattan repo is not signed.

Yeah we need the innovative mouse cursor from the N900 from corner of screen plus an update to Fennec add on called phony to change flash description to make discrimination websites that only allow flash 11 browser to play their content plus we need that latest Fennec update.
I'm getting funny little bugs like trying to complete comments on cnn.com is not possible because it cuts you off at 4 paragraphs and shoves the text you type below your on screen keyboard and arrow keys from mesinput don't work there plus I'd love Opera's very nice text wrap if that is at all possible.

Don't think that's going to happen though... I was reading somewhere that there are performance issues (bugs?) with cursor + Harmattan somewhere. Hope I misread though!!!

So I would like someone to confirm an issue I found, for some reason cutetube hangs and remains open running in the background as a process after watching a flash video in firefox. I have uninstalled and repeated and the same thing happens eveytime. Can someone else try and see if it happens them also.

basically play a video in firefox close it, then open cutetube play a video and close it and then try to reopen.

Thanks

So romaxa's kindly released a FP that's been repackaged for users still on 1.1
http://romaxa.info/fftest/adobe-flas...0-73_armel.deb
It'll be in the Nokia Store hopefully within a wk or so...

He's also ensuring that all builds of Fennec* are now compatible with 1.1/1.2
http://romaxa.info/fennec/

*release, beta, aurora, nightly(central)

Just use the stock web browser or Opera when you want Flash-less browsing.

But seriously, we FINALLY get a flash option on the N9 and already we're seeing the "how do we disable flash" questions. For the love of god, people....

A mouse "click" inside of a flash element works fine on the N9. You just tap.

However, we have no "mouse over" functionality that was previously available on the N900 using the mouse pointer mode in the stock browser. I miss it, but I also miss the precision of a stylus. :(

Re: Official Flash player released by nokia in ovi store

Bringing the curser in from the left using a stylus on the n900 was mental. However i do think the n9 is faster and more stylish so you can't have it always. N900 is now dated and the n9 is the next best choice

Thanks. I should have figured that out for myself - I needed to do the same thing to install PR1.2. Flash plugin installed and works nicely.

Nightly is so quick compared to the firefox from the Ovi store. I plan to keep and run nightly.

If it's not from the Nokia Store you don't have to...
But if you have a build from the Store, then it's best to uninstall it before installing the builds on Romaxa's site.

Thanks for this, spent a few hours yesterday updating repositories, and trying to install nightly through terminal :)

Had forgotten I installed firefox through store after flashing. Now on nightly and works great.

Re: Official Flash player released by nokia in ovi store

sigh.. two problems for me

1) Now that flash is available I cannot find a working swf file of the famous Sydney Moon flash file =(

2) It requires mouse over, which you guys are saying is currently not working

I really would have liked to have that guaranteed day-brightener on my phone =(

EDIT; yay ! I found it again !

Anybody know what the update for Flash was this morning, I downloaded/installed the update, but haven't had time to test.

Re: Official Flash player released by nokia in ovi store

Never mind update was for version 11 according to other Flash thread...

Edit: Still 10.1 version.

Re: Official Flash player released by nokia in ovi store

I can't install the update. So I uninstalled Nightly, then installed Firefox 11 via the store, then the Flash Player says there's an update, but it will not update.

No extra repositories are enabled.

Try downloading flashplayer .deb to your PC, transfer to your phone and install using file manager. It worked for me that way.

You can download the .deb file by replacing the web address from ? onwards with /download/. Only works with free apps.

Hello,
my problem with flashplayer is that even though it installs without errors, I cannot see any flash content on firefox. Any ideas?

I have also tried:
- Installed the nightly builds of firefox,
- installed both with developer mode enabled
- installed flashplayer through terminal using .deb file
all of which had the same result. No flash content.

Hi, thanks for you reply.
I read the post from your link. It was actually taken from this post on talk.maemo.org
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...29#post1172729
But I don't understand what should I do with this.
First of all there is no sources.list file in my device, only sources.list.d. Should I worry about that?
Second, I don't have problems installing flash player, it installs just fine, from the ovi store, or from the .deb file after installing libxt6
My problem is that I can't see flash content on firefox

U need enable flash in firefox.
Write in firefox site:
about:config
search "plugin" and "flash" enable and restart the firefox.

I don't see "flash" when searching for "plugin" in "about:config" page.
I guess this means that flash is not installed properly

Here are the steps you need to follow:
You need to flash your N9.
If you don't know how to flash your N9 follow method 3 here:
http://everythingn9.com/update-pr1-2-nokia-n9/

I've personally followed method 3 over 100 times myself and has no problems

Then you need to reinstall flashplayer and firefox.
Everything will work.
