use filebox and enable 'show root filesystem' in the settings.
i don't think you have to cp the module every time though.
well, i dunno if it would have permission on that folder either. might work.

You can see root with filebox, but you can't copy files there

I suppose it would be faster to just write the damn GUI than answer any more questions... %$#@%$ good thing I have no life.
