Reporting 1,4GHz with 1,375V, SR on. N9 seems stable after half an hour of testing. Will inform if it crashes.

I think using GPS would crash the overclock

Thanks for the idea. Tested it and it is still solid. Happyjoy! :)

You got a pretty good device , mine is not responding after 1375mhz even with 1.38 voltage and no SR . :)

I wanna ask if there is a chance to go over 1387500 voltage ? If no , this means the limit of N9 is ~1300-1400mhz .

Tried playing gta3 in nitdroid running at 1.3ghz and its so much smoother then stock. Played for 30min and stable all the way. :)

I would have said it comes free with Duke Nukem Forever... then I realized DNF actually exists now.

For me, 1.3 V seems to be the minimum needed for 1.3 GHz, anything lower and apps will start crashing eventually. Also, after going back to default clocks, frankly, it's very hard to perceive any clear difference in general usage, I though apps were opening faster but I'm not so sure anymore without proper testing.

Is it possible to overclock the GPU? :D

Blin... Facing a issue :

1GHZ > 1.2GHz SR on - OK

1.2GHz SR on> SR off - OK

12GHZ SR off > 1Ghz SR off- OK

1Ghz SR off > 1Ghz SR on- OK

BUT:

1GHZ > 1.2GHz SR on - OK
1.2GHz SR on> SR off,1GHZ,SR on - NOK

If I desactivate sr, change freq and reactivate it in the same script, reboot.

Good bug report but a pretty ridiculous scenario is needed to cause the reboot :P

Re: overclocking kernel modules for PR1.2 [v1.4]

People overclocking other phones using OMAP3630 usually talk about voltage in terms of VSEL, which seems to translate to actual voltage according to V = VSEL * 0.0125 V + 0.6 V, according to OMAP3630 technical reference manual . So 1.375 V would translate to VSEL 62. Looks like Droid X users, for example, are able to set much higher VSELs than this so it might be that the maximum allowed voltage in the Harmattan kernel is rather conservative (and relatively safe?).
