Re: overclocking kernel modules for PR1.2 [v1.4]

Tried this morning some tweaks and something is still weird . I was thinking the n9 may be unstable due to governor that changes often frequencies and voltages so I set the scale_min_freq same like scale_max_freq , so the cpu will stay at max everytime . I also tried to set governor to performance but phone freezes immediately when I set a higher frequency than 1360mhz .

Device is acting weird when I am doing these tweaks , it's very laggy and it sets a frequency after I change the scale_min_freq . I don't know how to explain better this situation , here's an example .

current speed is 1350mhz
set scale_min to 1400mhz
echo 1400mhz 1.4v to opptimizer
conky and everything else still showing 1350mhz
set scale_min to 800mhz (phone freezes)
set scale_min to 1400mhz (phone works but very laggy)
conky and everything else showing 1400mhz now

I can repeat these steps for any frequency , I also tried for 1700mhz and it worked , conky was showing 1700mhz but I know it's just a bug .

here's also a video of how device is acting after I pass the 1360mhz with the method presented above : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5H_bc_IkuOQ

Re: overclocking kernel modules for PR1.2 [v1.4]

As I read the previous post, I found everybody got a different voltage as default in their device, mine is 1.2v in default.

now i running 1.3Ghz at 1.375v with latest module, let see any reboot coming, in previous version I got a reboot after few times usage.

Thanks you Creamy Goodness

(I wonder if fears of currency conversion fees are the reason INCEPTION donations have been rather limited...)

In my case it's 2.5€+3%. Not a huge problem for big sum but for small sums it suxx a bit... :/(My bank is a real issue:/)

thanks :)

Btw I made some good progress today:
The symsearch module can now be unloaded so updating is easier. I added a warning screen to the UI that appears if you enter dangerously high values, just to make sure you don't do anything stupid by accident. I also fixed the problem with the voltage not returning to normal when you don't enter a custom voltage.
I only have one more thing to do before releasing this, I need to run the stability test in a separate thread so it doesn't prompt you to close the app when it's busy.

Nice :) Will do )

It's 99.9% done now, I will release the non-beta today. Only thing left that is needed is a transparent window to block you from messing with the UI while it is doing the benchmark. I couldn't get this working at 2am last night but it should be really easy now. I will update the first post with everything soon. Maybe a few hours because I'm at work.
