Off-topic - wishes can be dangerous. Imagine what would happen, if besides "Thanks", negative points would be submittable... ;)

As long as both counts would be kept separate, I'm all for it.

"if total Thanks < 3 and negative points > 10, then hide post (but remain viewable)" - possibly also reported to moderators.

1st PK v50 + ~130 apps
if that works smoothly (as i expect it will) i'll try CSSU testing then, maybe?
should i install it 1st (i.e. after reflashing & before installing anything else) or last?
then i'll have to cut back to the bare minimum and add one by one, to see what might be causing issues.

[/off-topic, i guess ]

i hope you appreciate that's not something you can ask a casual user to do.
nor to install only a hand-full of 600 (or 700?)+ apps :(
whenever i get a chance i point out to potential users / buyers of N9(00) that those few hundreds apps provide all that's really needed, but if they can't even install (most of) that

I've been always installing it first, if that's worth anything. Anyway we can continue this discussion in another thread of you like, to stop being off topic.

Ah, nostalgia. This reminds me of the good old days. Glad to see the fire's still in maemo.org. :D

As time permits today and tomorrow, I'll complete the list of candidates, in the mean time feel free to edit the page to fill out the information.

Edit: As it stands there are currently 4 runners, with SD69 and Geneven nominated without having accepted the nomination and Gerbick who has declared his intention to run here at tmo, and been nominated on the mailing list but has yet to declare his intent to run there.

Apologies if have missed anyone, it certainly isn't intentional.

Edit 2: Arie falls into the same category as Gerbick in having declared an intention to run on tmo, without having officially decared his intention on the mailing list.

I had no idea I had been nominated till I saw this message quoted elsewhere. I don't read the mailing list messages and consider the mailing list itself inherently elitist.

How am I supposed to accept the nomination?

Which prompts another question to one of the (possible) candidates: if
you accept the nomination, and get elected, how will you facilitate
within the community if you disregard one of the communication
mechanisms?

As the election threads have shown, there is still an active community
of people there.

I am not planning on accepting the nomination, so you can relax.
