Is it just me or does everyone else also not get any pings coming through like when im not connected to internet i dont get any pings coming through! Is it meant to happen? Or do you only get messages through when you are online?

you should only type the PHONER value. nothing else. without your country code. if the country code is 880 your number should start what is left after 880
remove whatsapp and install it again. then do the steps again.

if not clear then read 5 pages behind. u shud get it.

SPA: Pide que te envíe el código por voz (voice), recibirás una llamada y una voz grabada te dará el código, que será el mismo que recibiste por sms, pero esta vez al meter el código SI FUNCIONA! Al menos así me ocurrió a mi.

Ask for the code sent by VOICE, you'll receive a phonecall and a recorded voice will give you the code, same code as in sms method, but this time when you enter the code IT WORKS! Al least it worked for me that way. I hope this helps!

Nice =) how was paris? I also have the meivakantie next week.

Are you going to publish the source code?
Anyway I'm ready to help you with this version of whatsapp. Im using it constantly since you published it on this forum:). And it really works great.

I also have some suggestions:
Automatic cursor in text field when chatting.
Send the message when pressing enter.
Groups chats and sending/receiving of images but I suggest you are already working on this.

Is there a way how we can get some contact so that i can test some things for you?

paris was great, i am unsure about the source code as it is not "clean" yet, there is decompiled proprietary code in it, and to get group convo's working i need to actually be in a group convo and every time i get to it no-one is online

Okay about the source code i understand. We will have to wait then.

You can add me to a conversation only, at this moment I am not able to get a whatsapp phone. Do I need it or is your whatsapp messenger useable for your testing?

I think you have an unhandled exception here. Because after this exception were thrown, the app wont send nor receive anything from server. Hope you can add reconnection procedure in response of this kind of problem. :D

What I did was once I've successfully connected to whatsapp, I will quit out and make a backup copy of the prefs.xml file. So when I next login and get the error as you did, just restore from the good prefs.xml file, confirm internet connection is working and rerun whatsapp. Hope this helps.

On a side note, error handling in the app is quite bad and a way to manage contacts would be appreciated. I know, I know... it's still in alpha, but the original author did ask to suggest and report bugs. :)

a great app , really thanks i was waiting for these forever !
i downloaded it and after that i wrote my number and i haven't received the SMS massage , said wait and i waited ! but nothing happen !
BTW i was using what'sapp before on android phone !! can i get my account here , or i have to signup for a new account !! :(

This is very easy to port to a Qt application that would work in all Nokia phones, including N900, N9 and N950. I wonder why nobody has tried it yet... The jar is not obfuscated at all (the Android versions are extremely obfuscated).

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but when using Optimize N900. I get all my chat messages in individual notifications reappearing

which is strange as when you close a chat session your previous chat history disappears but when using optimize N900 they reappear although it slows the n900 considerably too the point of having to reboot the device.

It was more to do with if someone could manipulate this behaviour so when we close a chat session down and then come back to it, we would still have the previous chat history!!!

I repeat the procedure with another number if I insert the number with +39 i receive unknow error if i insert only my second number 393XXXXXX i receive too recent more info 30.

BUT How work this software?

If I use the Computer because don't work?
