Is it confirmed? Did you try after uninstalling?

One question to those using v1.1.1:

Has anyone experienced their messages suddenly disappearing for example, when a new message comes in, you slide the notification from the lock screen to view it but the conversation window that opens has no message and clicking to go back to messaging shows your other messages having disappeared too...

This bug was last present in v0.9.4 IIRC but an user PM'ed me asking for assistance with the above and he had installed v1.1.1 a few hours prior to the above occurring...Hence my question...

Thanks!

I've only had this issue once or twice while running version 1.1.0. In my case, I swiped the notification banner and the messaging app launched but reported no messages at all, though I had many messaging conversations going. I was relieved because all messages returned after reboot.

The only ither occasion that I recall a 'No Messages' situation was very briefly on launch, but the messages reappeared in a second or two.

I think it's that same old alarm bug... a reboot should fix it

For me 1.1.0 rather than 1.1.1. Even my browser behaved better. I returned it.

I tested this on v. 1.1.1 and also had an alarm bug. The alarm goes off as expected, but the lockscreen freezes. It wakes back up after about 15-20 seconds. I re-tested after the first time, and all went well. Then another re-test, again it went well.

Has anyone else reproduced this issue?

I have as well the messaging bug with 1.1.1, which was not the case with stable version 1.0.0
When I send an sms, it disappears but the receiver gets it.
Even with reboot it doesn't reappear in the conversation.

this happened to me since one of the 0.9.x releases, can't remember which exactly. it persists until 1.1.1, but it was there in the stable as well.
usually, it goes away after a few alarms/days/reboots. maybe wait a little.

n9 is a diva, sometimes you have to give her time to get comfortable with new situations ;)

its related to status menu extensions or sys-ui widgets from CODeRUS too...

That too has the same bug...

I'd be happy if you guys could help me with the broken apps. Just change the 2nd line to the path of the app executable (or daemon responsible for streaming), change the name of the file and attach to this thread and I will include it in the next release. It's easy.

I'm sorry for my lack of knowledge, but I am not sure where I attain this information. The app I am having issues with is Last.fm. I obviously can just put the app name in the correct area, but I imagine that there is more to it than that. Please let me know, and I will attach the corrected file. Thanks.

I have installed ver.1.1.1 and when I received a message and I tried to open it the message disappeared:confused:

Also my music app loads very very slow(I don't know if this is due to faster n9 or something else).

Re: [Stable!] FasterN9

smiler,

The music player slow loading time is due to sys-ui extensions by CODeRUS not due to fastern9 most probably...

Re: [Stable!] FasterN9

For using FasterN9 the price we got to pay is that audio stutters when doing something. I'm using the stable one, tried different players. I love that the lag is gone and can live with the sacrifice.

Yes, reason is sys-ui extensions by CODeRUS. Or those together, i dont have Music control and player loading quite fast.

You mean you will reset to investigate if its really the sys-ui to blame?

You don't need to :p

Faster N9 consumes more battery life, before without FasterN9 i charged my phone every 2 days, now i have to do it every day.
I don't have a drain but is consuming more battery. Does anyone else has this issue?
But i love the FasterN9 it makes the phone faster. (i use v1.1.1)

PS: can the battery be replaced with a higher capacity one?

Same thing with previous two versions. Increased power consumption. Uninstalled them already. Because I don't like to charge my N9 everyday :p

yeah. basically, same here. increased power comsumption. Essentially i put FasterN9 on the minute i got my phone, so i've never known "life" without it.

But i tried uninstalling it yesterday, and today i've gone an entire day, inc several phone calls, moderate net usage, 3g data on all day, etc. I'm down to 75% at 7pm, 12 hours since i unplugged it.

Re: [Stable!] FasterN9

New unstable version, 1.1.2, with nice new features. Later this weekend I'll update the stable version as well.

I will also try to answer some old questions as I've been away for sometime.

Meanwhile, would someone explain me how to get a 2 days battery life? My N9 battery never ever lasted more than 1 day, with or without FasterN9. So maybe that's why some people are reporting their battery life is worst and mine is unchanged.

EDIT: I almost forgot, someone with Spotify installed please run in terminal:

Code:

dpkg -L spotify
I'm supposing the Spotify package name is 'spotify', if not please correct the command. I need this info to fix it's behaviour with FasterN9 but can't install it myself, as it's not available in Brazil. Thanks.
