mail application still opens slowly...not healthy

i can confirm this that battery consumption has increased but i think its wazapp issuesome ppl complained about it in the wazapp thread.
Can anyone who doesn't use wazapp and installed the new version feedback about his battery consumption...

this 46mA is with Wazapp on 2g or 3g? I get 22mA with 2g and 52 with 3g… I thought it's something to do with Wazapp, but it could be with FasterN9 (too)... ?

When on mobile internet I estimate 60% of time on 3g and 40% on 2g using profilematic. So it could be Wazapp - this is running in the background whereas I assume FasterN9 is passive when the device is idle?

Before in idle for me = 6 - 9 mA and now with the newest version of FasterN9 its like 13 mA ;) And I don't have Wazapp ;)

FasterN9 should be passive when idle, but maybe in conjuction with Wazapp's background connection (in latest version it automatically pings each 3 min to check whether connection is alive) consumption goes higher...

If you can use a terminal I can help you check if it uninstalled completely then you don't need to reflash

Uninstall the app. Do not reboot immediately. Use it for a while, then reboot. If you don't get a malf, then it was uninstalled. The problem it's not removing the app, it is restoring the original state.

I use one Gmail account and yet I can't receive any new emails anymore .. And I can't even uninstall fasterN9 :( keeps saying transferring from time to time but doesn't load anything in my inbox at all =/

I deleted my email account and tried adding again.. Rebooting.. Nope, doesn't work anymore. Hmm.. Waiting for uninstall update so I can try removing it to be sure it's fasterN9.

i already uninstalled yesterday. I behaved just like you said now...waited a few hours before reboot. But behaviour is still not the same. Theres no lag, and mail and browser open slowly..

im pretty sure the app is still there

Wazapp:
I have now 'quit' the wazapp application so presumably it is not running in the background. I'll see what the ave idle consumption mA runs at. It is currently (don't faint) 262mA over 4 hours. Hmmm.

Performance
Now experiencing long lags in opening some apps. Times below are seconds to open application, based on the following:

• no multitasking (one one app at one time)
• wifi connection
• quit wazapp application
• testing only stock apps ('out of the box')

From Events/Notification screen

• Open Calendar: 28 sec
• Notications: 20 secs
• Feed from Twitter: 1 sec, but then "App not responding" before then opening
• Feed from Facebook: 1 sec, then ok

From Application Launcher Homescreen

• Email: 30 secs
• Camera: 11 secs
• Contacts: 27 secs
• Open web browser: 20 secs

Apps that seem ok:

• Phone, Notes, Calculator, Calendar
• Music, Gallery, Video

facebook works good but my twitter is not refreshing nor syncing neither i can tweet or get any tweets anymore tried after i removed and cleared the account and still the same.!

I have noticed aby proboems at all. Email works all apps open quick and no lagg at all! I'm On open mode kernel.

Installed 0.9.4 and will see how it goes over the next 2 days. Too early at 5 minutes :) Although, apps seem to be running smoothly again. Maybe slight lag in opening email. Do you have similar?

Edit: also noticed ave idle consumption down to 17mA (wifi connection) :cool:

Indeed small lag in opening mail app.
after installing phone rebooted autom but it also removed my complete text inbox. No messages left (not that good)

Will test further but first feeling is not as good as 9.3

Check again, close message app, refresh/reboot, take a deep breath and open messages.

I think that there`s no changes for me from 0.93. Maybe a little bit more fluid ui... (that could be because rebooting also). Everything works fine after about 1/2 hour. Need to test more. Keep on great work mate!

Lol, no idea what I did wrong. I saw the new version and decided to install it over the old one 0.9.3. Everytime it is in the process of installing, the phone reboots and install fail, 3times already. Should I uninstall FashN9 even though I can't install the latest version? nvm, this was due to bad download

some symptons I have noticed so far with 0.9.3:
- apps load faster, but also hang easier(not respond screen show up)

- some occasional hang up, web doesn't respond to taps and after this, it's not possible to start anything. the only way to clear things up is cold reboot

I have Qtweak in use for
- statusbar clock
- gamesaves

My n9 is running perfect on 9.3 kinda scared to upgrade at this point. Lol.

Developer mode on.
Homescreen installed.

Not much else other then profilematic and torrential.

ok this is embarassing, right after posting previous post. I redownloaded the file and gave one last try. The install resulted in a reboot but it is a success this time :D, I guess fennec somehow messed up with the last download..

I was not very happy with v 0.0.2. Launching apps like Mail was a torture.

0.9.3 was a big advance for me. I liked the new approach. And 0.9.4 is running OK for me.

After rebooting it takes some time to settle down but if you wait a couple of minutes everything is fast.

Maybe you should warn that the phone will reboot itself.

First post does warn that the latest version automatically reboots the device after instal.

For future testers: just download, save, instal and wait. Let the device reboot, allow it to settle and fully boot up. It should take about two minutes.

Update works fine. Still doesn't solve my email problem. Still can't see any new emails in my inbox.

since no one is helping or has any idea.. I'm gonna try to uninstall this version and check again. Wish me luck.

Latest update is working well for me I haven't had any problems with any of the updates and my N9 is working at the best it ever has. All applications open fast for me especially the core ones such as messages, mail, phone, music, etc all less than 3secs

flopjoke, thanks so much. I just reflashed my phone (reason unrelated to fasterN9) and was wondering why my inbox wasn't showing up. I would not have suspected FasterN9 as the culprit if I hadn't seen your post. :)

Pretty sure Im on v0.9.3, but I tried to upgrade to 0.9.4 via Xterm, but it says wont install from unknown origin. Downloaded file again, same. Downloaded with PC both times.
