This app works fantastically. Kudos guys. Just one question. Is there a way to delete the chats & is there a way to block a user? Or are these in the pipeline. Tks in advance

Answer is no to both ATM.

It is being worked on or will be worked on at some point, and should be in a future release.

Search the announce thread here and you might find all your answers without having to make a post :)

Hi tgalal,
are you planning to put on git some of the code?
A repo could be useful for those of us who are forking it with some changes in the UI and the functionalities.
E.g. I have been working on the chat ui and on the notifications: so far the chat ui has been integrated according with the meego-harmattan guidelines and the notifications have been improved (solved the bug of the music stopping to play in the background).

I saddens me that all I ask from tgalal (or anyone in the know) is a tentative date on N900 wazzap availability so I don't have to check this forums every day but all I get is silence and a feeling of being ignored... :(

It's sad, I want to use this app too... :/

If someone wanted to do it he would have at least shared he was working on it.

Other then that Tgalal talked about a N900 version, just wait and see if he will take the time to port it, since most of the N900 kids who wanted Whatsapp have only been whining.
I kinda feel bad for posting here since this is developement only but the question was so dumb.
How about porting it yourself?

I'll take some time to explain this.
Wazapp will be ported to N900 because I'll do it myself.
Only when it's finished.
I will not waste my time porting everything while it's still under development and doing it over and over again with same files.
Once it is finished and stable enough, it will be available both for N9 and N900.
So, patience please. Get involved everyone, help out with what you can and it will be faster than 3,4 devs working on it. ;)

I think for the moment, I am a whole lot better off using Yappari (WhatsApp Client) developed by Scorpius.

Using it... No complains... Does the job of keeping you connected with others.

I didn't even imagine to have 3 whatsapps for n900

Do you require testers? I'm willing to give the experimental app a shot on my N900 and I solemnly promise I shall provide all the information I can on the bugs and not whine if/when it crashes. I'm not new to Linux and I can use the terminal, but I have no programming abilities whatsoever, so I can't help out with that - sorry.

BTW, I was born in Zagreb - it's nice to see someone from the same city here. :)

I got a message from the whatsapp server about an available update, and redirects to a page with whatsapp official for symbian.

I have since been facing problems sending mesaages via wazzap.

Anyone else facing this?

Anyone have any ideas what the current changes have been made to the registration process?

And whats the method you guys are using to intercept whatsapp traffic from a real Android/iOS/Symbian device?

I'd like to try and get media downloads working but a little help would speed things up a bit as I'm currently working on an app for the coding comp.

Is it possible to build wazapp 0.2.6 using scratchbox and debian tools only, i.e. without qt-creator?

Does qt-creator output a Makefile?

Edit: You can just run 'qmake' in src/accounts to generate a Makefile from waxmppplugin.pro.

How to build Wazapp 0.2.6 from source in scratchbox or MeeGo OBS.

Download the original source archive and name it wazapp_0.2.6.orig.tar.gz:

I'm using the tar.gz as I had trouble with the src/accounts/wazapp -> ../client symlink in the ZIP version available here: https://github.com/tgalal/wazapp/

I have "Debianized" the package and included some patches detailed here. My debian.tar.gz and .dsc are attached as I can't figure out how to make my project on MeeGo OBS public. :o

Update: Fix new login issue.

Warning: Due to MeeGo bug #21885 in OBS, the aegis manifest is not included in this build. (thanks D.Cent)

This is the way most of my contacts are stored. It works on Android with these numbers aswell.
So with a "for" iteration it could be truncated to:

+4912345678910 (That's the way they get recognized in wazapp)

I'd rather wait a litte longer for sync and have all contacts ...

But anyway, thanks so much for letting me have this great program on my beloved N9!
