PLEASE HELP UNINSTALLING WAZAPP

Does anyone know how do i uninstall wazapp completely, so i can insert another sim card to register for another sim/ or new number. Because i uninstalled it, and when i re-installed it, it still had old conversation. And doesnt let me register with new number.

No matter what sim i put it in, even after unstalling and re-installing it. it seems like wazapp was never uninstalled, as old convos and still there, and it doesnt connect.

So i can neither connect or re-register :(

Yup, you're right.. I spent a long time trying to find the original post where they were uploaded.. gave up and had to cut it out xD Thanks for the link! I'll edit it again and make it better!

To be honest though.. you can't see it on the phone itself.. but well, maemo demands perfection, yeah? ;)

In the chats tab, I don't like that line that separates each person. So I checked the Chats.qml file in the edited UI, and there was this code:

color: theme.inverted?"#cfd2d4":"black"
}

I replaced the #cfd2d4 with #404040 and it looks much better in the dark theme now. But there's nothing in there about the light theme.. I want to change that dark one pixel separator line in the light theme as well to be a bit lighter than it is right now. Any ideas?

LOL that's my code.
Let me explain this code:

color: theme.inverted?"#404040":"black"

it means: if theme is dark then color is #404040, else (theme is light) color is black.

Change "black" into what you want and post screenshots please :)

n9 is not powered by maemo and that is a fact

Seems like you weren't involved that much back in time, when the N9 was being planned.
The only thing that was added after the MeeGo deal was the MeeGo compatibility layer.
Even the change to Qt was planned even before the N900 was lauched.

Oh, probably the N900 wasn't running maemo either... /sarcasm

There is an app called "Accounts" on your N9. Open it and delete your wazapp account there.

Ok, i want to share something, is a simple script to change WhatsApp status, since Wazapp does not implement this feature (yet).

Instructions: WhatsApp inc. implemented a IP-check few months ago, so you necessary need to be under the same NAT in order to get this to work.
Connect you phone to your home WLAN and run whatsapp_status.bat in your computer (sorry, only for Windows). Don't forget to add your country code before your number phone (for example, +34123456789 for Spain).
Sadly, you will see nothing in your client if you check your name, because Wazapp does not refresh the status, but it works (checked :p)

No answer to the question of blubber!? It seems you folks are all concerned about bubbles and colours, but not a bit about revealing all the private data, that your friends and relatives have trusted to you (those people too, who do not use whatsapp). And what's your reward? This thread feels like the world is going completely crazy.

better than. As my Wazapp here kepps stuck on "initializing" and then dies, it will be nicer to see "loading" and, then, it closes again....:-(

Hi, can anybody mod the push notification profile pic? When we have a new message we receive a small widget in the lock screen with our contacts' profile pic which is plain square!

Can somebody make a nice squircle using the UI folder and QML files?

Here's my situation now. I installed 0.1.7 and worked fine. After 0.1.8 it won't open again. It just stops at 'initializing' and dies.

- Tried reboot, reinstalled and downgraded to 0.1.7 and even 0.1.6. Nothing helped.
- My N9 is updated with PR 1.2 and latest software - checked on applications / manage updates menu on the device.

I attached the printscreens from the command on terminal. I'm a really fan of Maemo/MeeGo since N800, but I just can't read all these things, they're greek to me. Can anyone please help me and give me a hint what should I do?

I thought i had found a way to change the ring tone and also the vibration pattern/strength.

Both are found in the Conversation.qml near the bottom of the file.

Seems changing them doesnt seem to make a difference :(

those are my contacts saved in the phone. I think the app just took the images from the contacts app. I never had squares since the beginning

Could somebody who knows how to view the python files please take a look at the notifier.pyc file in /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp

This could be the key to changing the ringtone.

currently if you just change the Message 1.mp3 to something else, and change your desired tone to Message 1.mp3 in the /usr/share/sounds/ring-tones/ folder :)

Error: md5 module is deprecated

First thanks a lot for your efforts in providing Wazapp for N9 !

I am running PR1.2 in developer mode.

Installation and registration for 0.1.7 and 0.1.8 worked fine, I received SMS and in "accounts" it says Wazapp is connected to my cell number.

But after launch I cannot sync contacts and Wazapp crashes after trying to sync.

This is the result of the test you suggested:

For me, it works sometimes and the other times it just says "Connecting", regardless Wi-Fi or 3G.

i have the same problem, since this morning it says "Connecting"... i have reinstall the app, but nothing happend, still the same "Connecting" message..
any ideea?

First of all, HELLO everyone!

After following maemo.org since I bought my N9 in Oct 11, and receiving so much help from everyone, I thought I should really join in the fun. So here is my first ever post on TMO! (I wanted so much to post earlier during Wazapp development but thought best to keep my mouth shut and let @tgalal get on uninterrupted =P). This community/forum reminds me a lot of a Japanese Drama series called “Densha Otoko”, lot's of commaradery.

On topic/ Tarek Galal, thank you so much for your hard work and patience in developing this wonderful app. And also to all the folks who helped him along the way, you know who you are. Thank you and keep up the great work guys! \^.^/

On the app, I initially had the red dot problem but all is fixed with 0.1.8 update, I am in Wazapp bliss.

It's amazing how, within a day or two, a few awesome folks (again, you know who you are) have come up with really cool UI tweaks/customizations for all to share. Amazing. Thank you guys. Perhaps this will help @tgalal in his future updates. I'm really just an amateur so probably will read up more on how I can do these tweaks myself, but I am more than happy with how it is and just wait for the UI updates in the next release :D

Thank you everyone for all your efforts in making the N900/N950/N9 greater everyday.

one suggestion... lot of space in the text bubbles is wasted - let's use it to be able to see more bubbles one one screen... here's a photo, You'll get the point - move the time from the bottom upthere in the same line with the name, and cut the ex-time-line away to free that space...

I've made a little command app
Just copy the file to /home/developer/bin (or another folder with exec permission) and run in terminal.

Usage:
wsatus PHONENUMBER "MY NEW STATUS"

Example:
wstatus +5491122224875 "hello world!"

Reregister in 12 hours.
