All these cosmetic enhancements are nice but the more pressing issue is to be able to delete conversations. Combined with a frustrating inability to identify who is saying what in Group chats I think this is urgent. I hope Tgalal is working on it or can open up the source code for the relevant section to let others work on it.

Another suggestion which I find very good is to have vibration disabled when you are having a conversation, either automatically or in an option. It is not required when you are looking at the screen and it saves battery.

Thanks for the wazapp!!I just installed it on my N9, the process was ok, it asked me my phone number and the user name (as it will be shown to my contacts), I also received the code by message, however, when I click on the icon to open the app, it shows "inizializing" and closes up, what do I have to do to make it work?

Nice, but I personaly think that "the traffic light idea" makes Wazapp look more unique. So, I edit those Symbian indicators and attached those to Knobtvikers complete UI package(there is also Flopjokes new splash screens). ;)

I keep getting "permission denied" upon executing command line... root, or no root... full path, or from the very folder... any idea?

Hello Mr. Tarek,

i need help for my mobile Nokia N9 for you software wazapp, i hav installed it but its showing connting on top n stopping on red dots.

your solution to open in terminal i did not get it can you please explain me the following task.

"if you get any recurring problems, like red dots not changing, contacts not syncing, initializing screen opens and closes immediately with nothing happening afterwards, please run in terminal as a normal non-root user the following:

ah that's awesome! One thing though.. you can only use one splash image.. so in the complete UI folder you uploaded, the light one says "wasplash.png" and the dark one is "wasplash_1.png".. so the dark one won't be used at all.. unless you do the whole FileBoxRoot and rename thingy.. and by the looks of it, some people don't know how to :P

Take a look at web2sms app, it's open source if i'm not mistaken and he was able to make the bubbles stretch to adjust to the message.

I have attached the updated versions of the packages, now you can choose which version of splash screens you want to use. There is also old message indicators in the backup folder if someone wants to use them.

I can't find /home/developer/bin folder.
Where is it? i already allowed root and hide folders from Filebox.
Can anyone put the full comand step by step to use the CepiPerez's UI?

Thanks for developing this app.

I have a problem with the app though. Once I quit the app; and then try to connect after some time; the app never connects. It showing "Connecting" for a long time.

The connection becomes successful only after rebooting the phone.

Please advise.

Hey everyone,

I have been reading all the posts and comments on Wazapp, however I still have a problem. Since Wazapp came out I tried to register and never got the code (either failed:too-recent, or the last few days: failed:too-many.)

So I read I should just wait. Ok waited 3h: still error:failed-too-many. Waited 6h: still the same. Waited 12h: still the same. Now my last wait was 27h, and still I get the same error.

I do not know what to do other than wait even longer, but maybe there is something wrong?

Btw thanks for all the effort in making wazapp, much appreciated!

did anybody face reboot problem? its with latest version it seems (0.1.8). When initialize & close the wazapp application the mobile reboots after some time. If I don't open wazapp after a reboot, mobile seems to be stable.

I have a bug:
When a connecting frist all right normal send and receivers messengers but if nothing receivers for 10 or 20 min when i ill write thw messengers no send and the ball red show.
Only when i close with quit and open again tje wazapp ready.
Whats happen?

I can't code but I design themes for Symbian, so I thought I'd give it a go with what I think could be changed in the UI. Maybe someone will like it and actually do them :)

Also took my Whatsapp icon (which I made from scratch) from my themes and made it as PNG. Also made an "offline" as gray (since that's the language of Harmattan).

Edit: attached all the small icons in case anyone wants to use them.
Edit 2: Rethought the dynamic menu icon, doesn't make sense like that. There should be 3 states: Online, Closed and Offline. There's still the gray icon in case you liked it.

Wow, very beautiful design, but I think that yellow clock indicator should be checkmark. Because it means that message is successfully delivered to the server and the green icon means that message is succesfully delivered to the device of the chat partner.

Only problem is that you will need the contacts' names for when (hopefully) group messaging is integrated. Otherwise, that is exactly how I think it should look - more like our native messaging application to maintain the UX throughout.

That's a very nice UI design.. it's what we all want, really. The cool dudes on this forum actually managed to get close to that design.. but it's up to tgalal to make it bug free or actually implement it properly and release the next version soon. Or, he can reveal the source code so we all can make it happen. Playing around with the qml files only helps to a limit, but again, we should be thankful to tgalal for actually developing an app in the first place. :)

I see what you mean! And you are right! But perhaps it could be omitted if it wasn't a group chat and added left of the bubble (outside) with a light grey since the bubble has horizontal size limits (I might be mistaken). The top bar would then proceed to display the Group chat image, the status mini icon would disappear and by pressing the bar (just like in standard messaging) it would open a list with all the participants as well as when they were last seen/online (and the mini availability icons could be there as well). I can do a mock up of a group chat if you want.

As for the yellow icon, it could have a checkmark but I think it's more logical (even if it goes against Whatsapp itself) to have it as a pending icon because it's only really "ready" when the other person has the text on their device!

Thanks tgalal, but version 0.2 still cannot use Chinese(I think unicode character are the same) as push name. This make connecting... forever.

I'd like to see your group chat mockup @fsx since we need some indicator of who's posting. Or did you mean to only show names on top of the bubbles during a group conversation?

I wanted to report two things. Notifications on the lockscreen and events feed still have no 'squircleized' contact icons and the conversation thread does not autoupdate to always show the latest message above the keyboard so we need to scroll up manually.
