integrated chat like facebook/gchat is a no-go i belieed...seems closed source..you cannot add the traffic light icon, last seen when, yada2 in it.

Very nicely done! Only thing I am missing for this version is the automatic scrolling.

However, this app is getting more and more perfect with every release - keep up the great work! :)

I'd like to see your group chat mockup @fsx since we need some indicator of who's posting. Or did you mean to only show names on top of the bubbles during a group conversation?

quickly made. the idea here is that the text message bubble has a limit in width so that it leaves room for the names. Longer names can be squeezed into 2 lines and then simply cut off if necessary.

Best part.. YES! I can delete conversations now! xD

Just noticed the menu in the chats list has the top part cut off.. it should be rounded like everywhere in the phone, right? Yes, I know, it's not an issue at all.. but I'm a graphic designer.. and minor UI bugs bother me :P

For some reason.. I always had squircles on my chat list and notifications and everywhere.. straight from the default contacts app in N9. Didn't realize that others don't have it =/

In the newes version (0.2), there is little laggy when i scroll up and down from my contacts list.

Duuuude. This is a much better solution than adding the names within the bubbles. If we can implement features in such cool ways, it can make the Harmattan version of the app the best Whatsapp client there is =|

Not sure if necesary, but what about a small red circle next to every new messages on the convo list? Right now if we have more than 1 conversation active at the same time, the phone will only vibrate when new message, but there is no visual notification that there is a new message, besides the thread pulling to the top. but if we have more than 2 or 3 active convs, this may be an issue

add: if i remember correctly, on symbian and android, whatsapp displays a small number saying how much new messages we have in this thread..

Are you contacts' numbers saved in international format? (With the '+' and country code). If not, try changing one of the contacts who you are sure he uses whatsapp with that number, to be in international format with + sign then resync. Let me know the result.

i have contact that used whatzapp with international format (in my case +39******** in my phonebook) but nothing...
i installed new version also, but nothing... i sent an email with my log....

if u have some idea... :(

Hi tgalal,

I see you already tried to improve landscape use by removing the status bar. Unfortunately thats still too less space to use it comfortable.

The native messaging app also removes the top bar in landscape mode. I made a mockup how that would look in wazapp. Maybe you like that idea.

hi tgalal i sent you this problem by email (code generated with the terminal as you mentioned) but me also witht the last version (and other users like idros) have still the same problem :(

All my contacts are with +"country code" because i m often between france and switzerland. I just can see opened discussions (from my old n05) but cant sync the contacts.
All opened discussions have only the numbers with the international code but WITHOUT the sign "+", maybe its the problem? All those contacts have "+" sign in the mobile....

@ Tgalal Still got dependency problems here when trying to install wazapp, a few python packages missing when trying to install, anyone can assist or give me a clue, deb file wont install directly, want to test it from version 0.1.6 but stil get same errors, thnx to all devs for this good looking app even i cant use it yet.:(

I had the same problem when updating from 0.18 to 0.20. I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling.

I vote for a button labeled Chats (like the Message button of this image) just like the Message app instead of the arrow on the bottom (that doesn't show when the keyboard is showing)

Did you by any chance install the harmattan developer repositories!? Those lack the required AEGIS signatures mostly and if Python gets pulled from there, it won't install. I had to reflash my device back then, but there are other solutions!

After updating, Wazapp didn't open, then I turned cellphone off and turned on again and everything was normal. Mabe simply "rebooting" doesn't work, but turning off worked fine for me.

Tarek, you did very well adopting CepiPerez implementations, Wazapp is much better now.
