than maybe you should try 0.1.7 version or 0.1.8

as well you can try to install from terminal and see the exact error (dpkg -i foobar.deb as far as i know)

the errors i got from the terminal are:

wazapp depends on python-dbus; howvever:
Package python-dbus is not installed....
..........

All the messages are most likely since it cannot download the dependency..

I could not make it work with the new version0.2.4. it shows the same: "Login failed. Either account expired or you need to remove your account from accounts manager and re-register". I tried erasing previous downloaded versions using usb conexion to the PC. Not sure if the failure is because automatically the system adds a number 1 between the country code and my phone number, I guess I'll wait for a later update version. Thanks!!

i tested the problem
if others enter 2 lines, example: "test" > enter > add a emotion
then the emotion cant be show, if enter all text in 1 line, then emotion can show.
the emotion cant be show when the text is enter in 2 seperate line

It will be in the next update maybe, cause tgalal is posting updates very fast and maybe I didn't finish it on time.

Sent/received my first messages through WhatsApp successfully !

Tried. Looks better and cooler.

Is it me or this new version is somehow draining more ram and more system's resources altogether?. it could've been my case only but I noticed a little feeling of "sluggishness" while navigating in the app after switching versions from 1.8 to 2.4. it goes away after a while but it could suggest a significant strain on the phone's resources.

Was it only me?

nice.. Contacts syncing fine :) thanks!

small bug: when you start wazapp for the first time and go to the contacts page, it shows from the bottom of the list.. Like it's always scrolled down to the end before you do anything. Then I have to scroll back up and it stays there.. But if you quit and come back, it's back at the bottom of the list where contacts with names starting with Y and Z are shown.

anyone else facing this issue?

i can confirm that with last beta version. now i can sync contacts , too.
same here for the contact list showing the bottom of the list.

looks also like the battery issue (very high draining) is resolved, at least for me. will have an eye on that the next days.

v0.2.4: Can't register because Israel is not on countries list (+972).
Plus, you cannot edit the area code manually.

Anyways, I have 3 arabs friends from Israel with N9 who wants to use Wazapp.
Actually there are more arabs in Israel using N9 than Israelis :-)
and BTW - Israel love Egypt.

Hi, i just updated my wazaap from 0.18 to 0.24. before i want to ask something i want to say to tgalal for making this apps exist for n9 user and thanks for anyone that involved in this project as well.

Anyway i got a problem now, i just updated my wazapp but now it just appears a loading page and close suddenly after a while. i wonder if i did something wrong or not.

Hi! this is my first post after been reading for a looooooooooong time ago...

I can't sleep, so I've tried to change the Conversation.qml file to mimic the default messages inputfield, but it is seems like I'm having problems hehe... I need to do a little hardcode with a textedit, It looks cool, but don't works yet, the messages aren't sending and the bubbles don't appear, but I'm doing what I can do :P

Where can I find my conversation history(chat log)? Wazapp doesn't show all of the conversation lines, it only shows the most recent conversation I have had with my buddies.

Does this fork records the same private info out of, let's say the webbrowser, as the regular app? And if so, will it be send to whatsapp servers? Or is this all nicely left out?

Below is the part from the whatsapp service agreement which I don't like at all. (and is simply illegal in Europe)

Answering your question I am sure Tgalal has not implemented a whole browser sniffer inside Wazapp as, as far as I know, it was coded from scratch unlike other ports based from Symbian code. I hope I am right, correct me if otherwise :) but it will leave me a little uneasy ;)

Political issues will remain no matter what. If there is a Palestine option, that might give the Israeli country code - I have not tried so cannot be sure.

HELP NEEDED!
GUYS!!! HUGE PROBLEM!!!

The application was working properly until 0.2.
The only (but important) problem was that I could register only if I was using for the country code 004 instead of +44. So I was including the other 4 before my mobile number. Using this way, my friends see me as +0044xxxxxxxx instead of +44xxxxxxx. That's the reason they don't see my name.

TODAY I installed the 0.2.4 after deleting the account because I thought that the country list update could solve the problem.
But, I cannot register because the I cannot modify the country code.
I tried with another UK mobile and the registration was successful.
So, the problem is with my number. I would like to know If I could be deleted from the Whatsapp server and re-register with the correct format.
