As far as I've noticed we Wazapp users have a better time than regular Whatsapp users as far as connection issues go. Whatsapp always runs as a background app and there's no workaround when messages are not getting sent/received. With Wazapp, atleast there's the option of terminating the application and starting it again to fix most issues.

For those of you who are bothered by the fact that sometimes Wazapp is stuck on connecting or has crashed and you don't notice it until you open Wazapp, here's a workaround -

Get Billboard from Nokia Store. Enter this line -
{{green}}Wazapp: {wazapp-status}{{red}}{wazapp-status!Crashed}

Now you always know if Wazapp is online and if it's stuck on connecting or something, you just need to reconnect to your net or restart Wazapp. Cheers! :D

I also used to restart wazapp, when it was stuck on connecting, but i found out, there ist a faster way, that works most times:

go to "settings" -> "internet connection" and turn internet connection off and on again and wazapp is connected again ;)

Yea but if Wazapp chrashs it will not update and will still show it as 'online'...

Hey guys, after installing 0.9.20 on my N9 I tried to register, however I don't receive the sms, nor can I trigger a voice call... Is there any other way to get the verification code?

I am having exactly the same issue - never receive SMS, and never receive voice call.

I have two N9s, and it fails to work on both of them.

I tried registering through Bluestack. It says 'SMS verification failed' and the offers the 'Call Me' button. It says something like "you recently connected, try again in 19 hours", but I never received call nor sms.

Edit: added information about sms fail.

patience n wait few hour, remove old account then reinsert your tel no. its hard to explain detail here but you must try your self. maybe this trick only for profesional user? :D

Hey guys, thanks for the tip regarding bluestacks. Using this method, I finally managed it to trigger a phone call telling me the verification code. Unfortunately, I have drunk quite a lot beer during the last hours. Therefore I accidently typed in the code into my computer instead in my N9. Now I verified my computer which is stupid. Do I have to unverify my computer now using bluestacks? I already reinstalled whatsapp on blutestacks, however whatsapp still knows my phone number, hence there is no way to retrigger a phone call telling me the verification code... :-(

just remove old acc and uninstall whatsup, then reinstall back. Download whatapp from different store, you must choose ap store if ur currently whatsup installed from android store.

I did the same as meegofan. Now I am getting failed server mismatch error when I try the code on my phone.

Whatdo you mean with 'old acc'? Old gmail account in bluestack? Or account in whatsapp?

I removed whatsapp in bluestack and downloaded again. But it does not ask for new code. Just username and profile photo.

In Whatsapp under Bluestacks you have to go to settings and choose "delete Whatsapp account". However, I also had to reinstall Bluestacks in order to wipe all application data. Now I can trigger a phone call again, however I've to wait for 2 days since I tried to register to often... that sucks!

1) remove acc whatsapp

2) Uninstall whatsapp

3) reinstall whatsapp, download from 1 store, g store or android store, if before this you installed from adroid store then u must choose 1 store or g store.

Hmm, I already used both google store and 1 store. Both give same error. I only see Amazon Store which does not have Whatsapp. Should I install Android Store? Where do I do that?

is there a way of solving registration from NITDROID ..if there is any pls need help with it .. whatsapp didnt ask for reg in NITDROID it just worked .. but having problem with reg on WAZAPP

As I've mentioned before, if you have used both stores already, you have to reinstall Bluestack in order to delete the cached app-data. This solved the problem for me.

Hi there, now that I have Wazapp running on my N9, I'm experiencing another problem: a lot of my contacts who also have installed Whatsapp on their devices don't show up in my Wazapp contact list. Can anyone help me with this issue? Is it important if the person registered his/her telephone number with or without the international code at the beginning of the number?

I just read, that BB Z10 users also had the problem of missing contacts. Some users solved it by unlinking the contacts from their facebook profiles. Has anyone tried that on the N9?

Saving contacts numbers with country codes did the trick for me when I had trouble with contact sync.

if I get 20 messages at once wazapp not responding and needs to restart and often came who goes there as well

Not yet. I saw some initial UbuntuTouch work...

Well, all of my contacts have the country code within their telephone numbers. However, about 90% of the contacts who have Whatsapp installed on their devices are missing in my Wazapp contact list. Any other suggestions? Too bad, now I have Wazapp running but I can't really use it because of this issue...

Well, i finally got it working. Thanks meegofan. But I wouldn't know if I am missing contacts who have whatsapp. I am using it for the first time in my life.

I'm pretty much sure that the reason for the missing contacts has something to do with Facebook profiles merged to contacts. Can anyone confirm that? There is no other possible reason for this. I checked my entire phonebook to make sure that there is no number without country code at the beginning... still no luck though :-(

Are the contacts on phone or on sim card?

received media isn't following the timestamp media being sent..it follows device's timestamp....anyone got this issue?

Hi! I think that most of the contacts are stored on the phone. Do they need to be stored on the SIM-card? How can I check whether or not the contacts are stored on the phone? Thanks in advance for your help!

Well, that's wired. After a wazapp crash, i've to register again the number...and it doesn't work.

Now i tryed to registrate my wazapp account with bluestack but i've the "server missing" Error.
What can i do?

Hi all,

I have been a happy user of wazapp for over a year now, and was recently using the last version (0.9.20), working like a charm for me, until I had to re-install (for other reasons, I had to wipe out the device).

Now I can't get the registration code: SMS never arrives, phone call is never received, "Everything else failing" option says server replies "staled". I've tried with previous versions (0.9.19, 0.9.17...) with no luck.

I don't have a Windows machine to run BlueStacks (and I don't understand why, but I can't make it work on a Windows XP SP3 virtualbox). I've tried AndroVM but Whatsapp refuses to open because it thinks the device is a tablet. I even tried to fool Whatsapp on AndroVM by using AppGuard, but I couldn't set it up with the most recent versions of Whatsapp (and older versions also refuse to open with some odd message about the device's date and time not being properly configured).

Any ideas, folks? Help is much appreciated!

Hi,
today I got two pictures one shortly after the other, I clicked on both of them at the same time (the first one hadn't loaded fully, and I started to download the second one) and the result was that I only got one picture.

Is there maybe a problem with the naming, that both were maybe named owhatsapp_image_30.jpg and the second overwrote the first?
In the ~/MyDocs/Wazapp/media there is only one picture from that time.
