Got bug on latest 0.2.5.

After select sync contact, the syncing process has never ending till now, even kill it, restart and reinstall. :confused:

Sent the request on May 24, 2012 at 12:34 (mexico time) and got reply at May 24, 2012 at 15:25, seems that they took only 3 hours to reply, did send them 3 emails before, but they didnt reply, just to the last one.

What promise? I've been following wazapp development from day 1 and tgalal never promised any time frame to deliver the N900 version or that it will be out together with N9 version.

More feedback:

When receiveing a message, on official whatsapp there is a counter of how many new messages we have in the thread.

You could add this in the space thats used for the sent confirmation checkmark just a number telling how much new ie (1), or (3)

actually I have done that already. newest repo+apt-get update. but still no luck and showing installation interrupted everytime I attempt. any ideas before i wipe the whole thing out and re-install everything?? Thanks!!

i finally managed to make my phone number work with same account as before u know.... it's good.

i want to make clear, DO NOT DO that stuff of adding a number to the country code area. It will make a new account. The right way to do it, is to find out what number is the equivalent for CELLPHONE numbers in your country, and add it before ur number, in the designated area.
In my case, im from Argentina. The number is 9.
So, my reg was: +54
and then: 911XXXXXXXX

had to message whatsapp to make them unblock my account. It was a bad idea to move a number in the country code area, but at first it was the only way it was going to work, until the last update that solved the "please re-register" problem.

Question!

If i have 3g the connection is stable... but on 2g (gsm) i cant seem to maintain a stable connection. Is this a common issue? Or is it specific to my country and service provider?

The problem is it would say 'connecting' but never connects. I'll send messages and its all 'red' but if i exit and log in again, it sends the messages but then it doesnt send or recieve after that. On 'dual mode' when the 3g connection breaks and 2g kicks in, it cant re-connect either.

I'm in South Africa i'm not sure if its just because of the crappy service :P

From the sources it looks like the GUI has been done in QML, which apperently can be compiled for the N900: click. Well, who's willing to earn a lot of thanks? ;-)

Oh dear, thank you sooo much!
This works almost perfectly on my N9. Tested with simplified Chinese and it worked great.
'Almost' because the launch is a bit slow.

Hi all,

I am having some trouble with Wazapp 0.2.5 version. Everything was working ok with Wazapp 0.2.4. But after the update it looks like the client is not able to connect for some reason. So Wazapp is not sending messages.


When starting through (as user):
/opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp/wazapp

I get the following:

It's ok, I am just using 0.2.4 for the moment. Still, I could not make it work in any case. What I did was:

- Quit and restart.
- Uninstall, install.
- Reboot.
- Uninstall, reboot, install ( I know.. I know... ).
- delete Acount and reinstall.
- quit, detele ~/.wazapp and relaunch.

Still no luck...

He means that the code is now publicly available for people to make changes to themselves :)

Meaning bugs fixes from community members and faster, more wholesome updates while TGalal updates the app and after he has lost interest (if he ever does) ;)

Wooow, after tgalal opened source, I guess the changes will be more faster than ever - and don't think I'm not already impressed with velocity now.

Speaking as a complete noob, I wonder if won't pop up several versions at same time, from other fonts than tgalal, what would difficult to me and others like me to decide which version install or not to install. Ideally, tgalal would keep final word about new versions, as initial and prime author.

If I speaked nonsensed words, forgive me, as I said before, I'm a complete noob, but I'm liking very much Wazapp. And if my speech is full of errors, my escuse is that my original language is portuguese and don't really speak or write english very well... :D

Thanks tgalal, CepiPerez, knobtviker and others, Wazapp has already more beautiful visual than WhatsApp on N8.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to all this dev's work and codes, so basically i'm two steps behind many of you, i had problems with red dots which I fixed using the terminal code Galal gave for recurring problems. It was working fine with my wifi conexion at home, however, when I switch between wifi and 3G, I still get the red dots and not receiving replies because it seems the wazapp stops working if I switch the internet connexion or leave it for long time in multitask, is there any fix to this bug? btw, the battery drains faster now.

after 6 Days : fail-too-many::

I send yesterday a second email, then "fail-too-many: 762" by SMS, and "fail-too-many: 5" by voice, yesterday! I wait a Day.

This morning was the registration successful by SMS.


Ok, my next question was:

I used the Open mode Kernel, when i restart the device, i must again enter the passwords for accounts, email... (special thanks to Nokia :p)...and wazapp? it works without a problem to log on! I tested it on my second device.

first of all. Nice project! :-)

I'm one of a developer from a Bada developer group from Badanation.com. We're developing Bada apps.

Now the WazApp seems very interessing. At least, because it's written in C++ as well as Bada applications. So we're thinking about a Bada portation, if you would give your OK for it. Maybe you're interested in this project, too? So you could help at the portation.

But another question. Didn't you get any trouble with WhatsApp? Because you're using there not opened protocoll?
