i have a feature request:

would it be possible to change wazapp's connection behaviour?

every time i'm online and wazapp is connected, if i lose wifi/3g conecction or just turn it off, wazapp constantly triggers the popup of the connection window instead of just staying offline and reconnect when i reconnect to the internet....

i have a profilematic rule to kill wazapp if i lose connection to the internet but this is a really dirty work around and it doesn't start and reconnect wazapp again!

This is because of the phones own regular settings. I never experience this behavior. If I understood correctly what you mean, check settings and also that the background connections are allowed.

I have the same behavior over here. And if I check the background connection, 3G data just stays online forever. Cant we get Wazapp to check like every hour or sth for messages?

Hi, I have wazapp version 0.9.20 It's was working fine but todoy when I open it I get the registration ??? I type my number I get an error that said "old_version".

any idea?

Something weird happened to me when installing this nightly update. It made me 2 icons for wazapp. One that is normal and one that I cannot delete. Both do however work.

I checked usr/share/icons/hicolor/80x80/apps, but found no double entry for wazapp. I even tried to purge and completely remove wazapp folders, but upon reinstall in again made two icons. Also reboot not working.

Any advice?

Update:

I noticed that I also have two whatsapp accounts now in accounts. Both with the same number and name. Whatsapp still working normally though.

I really now wonder what is going on? :confused:

Had that once too, it was somehow related to editing the quicklaunch items (those when you swipe up) It happened because I put Wazapp in there and uninstalling or updating it.

my issue is that application freezes and i cant do anything untill killall wazapp
And its happens when im trying to open Settings so its popping up and then quickly disappearing and entire app freezes
And can't synchronize contacts

I am sad to tell this problem has persisted.
I am on Wazapp 0.9.20

As happened to excelintel, after a few days, messages written in edit box would not show up in the message screen.
If I reset settings Wazapp works fine for a while and then problem happens again.

Another issue is my N9 has lost all contacts twice already.
Just like that, without knowing why or how.
I could recover those saved in my Gmail contact list but the ones not backed up got lost.

Also, there is a failure to resize images before sending them.
A 7 mpixel image stays about its whole size of 1 to 2 MB.

I am wondering if it is a Wazapp issue or if it is a N9 issue.
Haven't been able to identify a definite path to the bug or isolate the reason.
I am getting tired of having to reset settings again and again.
However, haven't attempted to fully reset the phone.

Has anyone a clue of what's going on?
Or any other solution?:confused:

I really have to say I am very pleased with Wazapp.
It came to improve a lot my usage of this N9 jewel.
Therefore I did happily donate to @tgalal but have to say more people should do the same in order to compensate his effort.

I can't register my wife wazapp.. got the code but it always says that server said: old version.... i use 0.9.20

And nightlys doesn't work, can't install at all.

My wazapp works fine. Nightly23. Tried to install nightly24 but it says already been installed from certified resource

Hey, the latest nightly ~24 working fine.
A few things that I've noticed, if u get two or more pics and download all before first of them has downloaded, the rest wont show up, meaning, U better download one in a time even it seems you could download all. Also in the settings it doesnt show the profile pic if it has been put in some other device.

Yes, further investigation proved this to be the case. It is not then directly related to wazzap, just happened during its update/reinstall process. I can now try to change the quicklaunch icons and it only replaces the double wazzapp icon in the app grid and thus creates the problem again with another app. The one quicklaunch icon is know missing and is sitting on the regular app grid.

@MoritzJT do you remember how you solved this? I have tried N9QT scripts on this with no avail. Also have tried "quickbarcontrol" app, but it also only replaces the icon with another and does not move it back to quicklaunch bar.

Anyone with experiences on problem like this?


Okay, scratch the above. Ones again a bit more deeper usage of the search function revealed the greatness of this community.

It's been a month since I posted for help. I still can't register...no code came through. Voice call nil.

But this time a reason came out saying my version is old. But I check the website openwhatsapp.org and it says 0.9.2. Mine from last month is already that version.

So what gives?

looks like you somehow installed wazapp with trusted origin

solution would be to remove wazapp and install nightly 24

@soryuuha nothing changed in wazapp. only access token. nothing to commit.

i am able to get the activation code via a coderus-yowsup site, but now it says 'fail reason old version'...any idea how to bypass this？

Anybody experiencing problem with synchronizing contacts¿ it just hovering trying to synchronize still nothing , seems like cant retrive contact list

Hi guys I'm facing a grave problem with my wazapp. Until this afternoon it was still working fine. However at 11pm there are sudden weird problems. All my contacts in wazapp (which were previously present) are gone and I cannot send any messages to any group. The keyboard and message box appears but after keying in and press send it simply doesn't appear in the chat window. I've tried to restart wazapp a few times but still it won't go away. Somemore every single time when I restart it will start reloading the messages I've seen since 11pm as new unread messages. I'm really confused and dunno what to do now :( Whatsapp is extremely important to my group work so may any kind soul please please help me? Thank you so so much!!

by removing do u mean a full uninstallation or simply delete it from home screen and re-install? It's been a very long time since I last removed wazapp so I kinda forgot about the procedure etc. Also, will that require me to re-register? Thank you!

I have an N9, latest software [according to the device itself...].
I have Wazapp 0.9.2.
I have an activation code through Bluestack, and I am using the same MSISDN through Bluestack / Wazapp.
When I try to put the activation code through Wazap I get the "old_version" error message.
Not sure what to do next, so if anybody can help, help !

None of what you posted works.
I started facing this same problem about two months ago.
(See page 1001 or near with my ID).
I've tried everything:
close and restart
uninstall and reinstall
uninstall, purge completely, download .deb installation file and install
clean cache
erase Wazapp account and register again -keeping pin number

And though I posted failure through different channels
(this site, Twitter, Wazapp page at facebook)
I haven't got any suggestion.
Have seen though it didn't only happen to me but you too.
And some other falks that posted issue at facebook. :confused:

Sorry I just update complaint but have no solution either.
If find something I will post it.
Tonight I was about to update to version 0.9.20-nightly 23.

Had same issue and went through endless amount of removing and installing it until today its finally resolved
going through pretty much entire wiki and this thread.
Prior to installing new version you should completely remove and purge and then go with new installation.
Obviously you can use Xterminal or one of the useful (easier to use) app like FileCase to get access.

Are there Terminal Commands, or other ways to set the Wazapp Account to "offline" or "online" again? Or do i really have to close Wazapp by Settings -> Exit to get it offline?
