Hi,

for several versions of wazapp I get this error if i touch the thumbnail of an received image:

Unknown/incorrect option "/home/user/MyDocs/Wazapp/media/images/owhatsapp_image_19.jpg"
Use -h for list of options
a grey window with the error message and an OK button opens and closes shortly...
the uri of the image is correct, the picture shows up in the gallery app...

In Post #6157 the same problem was described, but i could not find the answer...

can anybody help?

Someone contacted me on twitter about a whatsapp for N9, on registration they get an error along the lines of;

"on registration whereby I have to get an sms for the code it says Old_version"

Is this a known fault?

Yes. You should download the last version "nightly34"

Am currently using Nightly 24 and i tried to upgrade it to 34 by putting the .deb file on the phone. But every time i run the installation it says Installation interrupted with try again n cancel option. Try again does keeps giving me the same loop.
Nightly34 is not getting installed.

i have the same problem with DrJkell.
Here is the terminal output:

Tried to reinstall nightly34 because I couldn't send any messages today (in the logs it said it can't access the db). Now I also have python2.6-minimal dependency issues I can't seem to resolve.

thanks for trying to help coderus!

Tried that followed by an apt-get -f install. Still brings errors processing the installation of python2.6-minimal (subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1). I could post the output but it doesn't say anything more helpful than this.

Here is something i observed

Most of your nightly Versions are 4.7mb in size right up to nightly33

nightly34 is 4.4mb.

any thoughts over this????

Let me clarify that am just a layman who does not understand anything about programing.
Just saw the difference and as 34 is not getting installed i thought of raising the point.

Ok I've found the culprit. python2.6-minimal wouldn't install because /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages was a directory not a symlink, so I checked what package may have caused this with:

dpkg -S /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages
which in my case was nmap. I simply removed nmap for now, reinstalled all that python dependencies wazapp apparently needs with

apt-get -f install
and then installed wazapp again.

And I also realized why my wazapp didn't run properly before... apparently I ran out of space on /home. wtf... weird n9.

Happy to Report back the Nightly 34 Installed successfully

When i downloaded it initially it gave me a fully downloaded file worth 4.5mb

I downloaded the file again yesterday and it gave me 4.8mb file, which got installed without any hickup.

Would like to add that this wazapp cannot receive Broadcast messages.

Happy to report nightly34 installed successfully from command line, ran into trouble while installing from download, install menu. A quick reboot + cmd line installation worked like a charm. Haven't testing all functionality yet, will report whatever the case may be. :)

Visual Bug:
Copy pasting colored text also pastes formatting of the text being copied.

Steps to recreate bug:
go to the following site and copy any text thats in red: Site

Paste text in the wazapp message box, the text pasted will be in red.

After this, copy pasting plain text, like the address from the default browser address bar, pastes in formatted text with the same formatting as the previous paste.


in addition to the above, if you move out of editing mode and re enter edit message mode some strange new text will appear in the message window. Of the following message everything except "background" is something that came up unintended

<span style=" font-family:'Trebuchet MS,Trebuchet,Verdana,sans-serif'; font-size:medium; font-weight:600; color:#cc0000;">background</span>background

It looks to me like the HTML part of the copied formatting

it is possible this bug is in harmattan.

What happened to that image open bug? That never worked for me ever in any wazapp version. Have you seen the PM with log coderus?

I thought that everyone has that bug and never complained about it :)

Well, you click on a received image and nothing happens (well, some UI opens for a millisecond, but not the image).
Always switched to gallery to be able to view the received images.

Sometimes when you initialize download of two images at once, it shows you the same image for both images. Although I think the other inage is found un the gallery.

is this what you're talking about?

Apparently I appear online to other Whatsapp users all the time even when Wazapp is swiped down and closed.
Btw I've enabled the Wazapp status code on Billboard. Could this have anything to do with it?

I was using version 0.9.20, but now when I try to register it tells me that the version is too old. can you please help with where can I download the latest version and how to install it. I just recently bought the Nokia N9.
