No more tokens for whatsapp. Authentication system has been totally changed :D

We need a new big hack of whatsapp clients :D

And it need really long time :(

Not Urgent - Please ignore this bug if already listed.


While downloading multiple media files (only Images / only videos )at the same time all the files get overwritten by the most recent one.

For eg. If owhatsapp_video_45 file exist on the phone and if I download 3 more video's at the same time only one file gets saved i.e owhatsapp_video_46. From the GUI if I click on any of these 3 video's the same file opens every time.

This seems to be due to the naming conventions used for storing files. I think instead of incremented numbers it should include date and time in it.

so....we have to wait the new version of wazapp of we have another way to use the "wazapp.im" verision?

I need to use another verision or contact wathsapp?

no way to register now. in future will be only online registration form.

Okay, so i have been having problems with my wazapp lately and have been trying to follow the thread to fix it however i am a complete newbie to this developing/ hacking stuff and it all means nothing to me.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me with my problem. So i was happily using wazapp for a while and then it would have problems starting up and just close after i press it to open or when i sent messages they would disappear. To temporarily solve this i would have to reset my phone and it would work for a while and i'd have to repeat this pretty much daily. By this time i had downloaded nightly34 but to keep it working i would need to uninstall and then reinstall. But one time after a couple of resets it didnt load so after backing up anything important i decided to clear the device and re-download wazapp. I had downloaded and installed nightly34 which if im correct is the latest version, but on registering i had the failed: old version error.

Is there anyway to solve this? is anyone willing to guide me through what i need to do or if you want me to show you the logs or something, i dont know where to access that but i have important messages i would like to get back to. As i said i dont know much about the develepor mode but im hoping someone can help. I also saw people talking about a folder under home/user/.wazapp is that accessed from filebox?

I have been attempting to but i dont understand the jargon used in most of the posts

@itz_kojo Registering doesn't work anymore (even with the latest nightly version) and why don't you just use the key you received before?
You could use the BlueStack method, which is to install BlueStacks on your PC, access Play store with it and install official whatsapp, then proceed to register with your phonenumber in N9, you should then receive an SMS to your phone.

@Kozzi the advice you offered about BlueStacks is the way I was able to get going, maybe more people need to understand this method

Thank you both, i didnt have the code i originally used however on an old iphone i was registering on whatsapp with no sim card and used the number i have on my n9 and that code worked so i have been able to register.

So if anyone has another smartphone with whatsapp, use that to register on your current phone and the sms gets sent to you which solved my problem

@Coderus. I've just upgraded to nightly34 from standard 0.9.20 and I've noticed that the alert sounds aren't as loud, is this known? Am I imagining things, I'm not that old to be going deaf ;-)

i think sound level should be choosen in status menu :)

Weird, it's at max... Other notifications are loud, it's not a problem. I can live with it

what type of notifications you using? chat or builtin?

Built in... The box next to use system Chat notifier is off...

then volume level controlling by purple "media" volume slider

The purple line is on max, it doesn't really matter, LED notifications also help.

N9 uses pulse.
Purple :media: slider is for each app AND output device (repro, headphones, BT phones). Each have own volume set.
Ok, many aps use :mediaplayer: engine. For this case si one volume set for all this apps. Volume must be set eg. in time when music-player running.
Not possible to set volume for app/device not running in setting time.

Hy Corderus,

i have since yersterday, after playing with N9Qtweak
Tweak A-1 and B 4 5 and 6
the problem that Wazapp nightly 34 wont start. I see the symbol but nothing is loading. After 10 seconds maybe i am back on homescreen.
Remove these Tweaks doesnt help. Purge Wazapp doenst help, re-registring number doenst help, delete account and reregister with whitesoft doesnt help.
How can i make a protocoled start from Wazapp from terminal to see whats going on on start?

current n35 making requests to my web server for working whatsapp data. so when whatsapp version will be outdated again, i can make changes on server side and n35 will work again. no need to make new build :)

@coderus i still have infinite loading group problem after contact sync...but i found nothing wrong inside walogs...any hint on what kind of error i should look forward?
