Did you ask whatsapp about that error in the server? Or did you just ask them to reset your registration? Maybe the error has nothing to do with registration status but something different, and since it's their server, they should be able to provide info about it.

one more tip if installing github dev version - keep "wazapp" and "wazapp_init" files from official 0.2.6 version while extracting all those /client files from github dev into /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp folder. (thanks, @knobtviker)

hello, please tell me how to install the new version .i download the zip and i extract on the pc but i don't now were to put it , i try in /opt/waxpppulgin/wazapp i try to copy the new files to it but it tell that i don't have permission to put anything in this folder ......

Why are you so impatient? Just wait for the official release if you dont know where to copy/paste.simple. One mistake,may effect your whole phone.

Installing Wazapp developer versions from Github howto:

requirements:

1. latest official Wazapp installed ( http://wazapp.im/ )
2. Filebox installed ( http://store.ovi.com/content/204982/download )
3. N9 QTweak installed and hack H activated ( http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=80600 )

steps:

1. quit Wazapp from within the app (menu -> quit)
2. delete /home/user/.wazapp/*.db file (using Filebox or term)
3. download latest dev .zip from wazapp github ( https://github.com/tgalal/wazapp/zipball/dev )
4. extract .zip on Your pc
5. now zip only /client folder with all subfolders & structure
6. delete wazapp & wazapp_init files from that zip
7. transfer it to Your N9
8. open rooted Filebox (password: rootme) and move that .zip to /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp folder
9. extract .zip in that folder accepting to overwrite all existing files
10. open terminal, enter devel-su, then rootme as the password
11. execute command: apt-get install python-dateutil (then wait)
12. execute: cd /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp
13. execute: chmod 755 *
14. exit terminal
15. start Wazapp from Your homescreen :)
(16. if Wazapp doesn't start -> reboot + step 15)

p.s.: deleting that .db file in step 2 means deleting Your chat history, so bear that in mind

Great Application!! I love it.

I'm aware that it currently dont support group conversion function or it only support partial group conversion function.

However, at the very least, i wish to have the 'leave group' function working.

A lot of my group told them i cannot have group conversion, yet they still add mi in. I try to delete conversion but it does not work.

I really hope the 'leave group' function will work, so as i wont receive spam msg.

When i extract the .zip file in the wazapp file i don't have to overwrite something. Do I have to zip the whole client file or only zip the content of the main file "client".

you have to zip all the files in /client subfolder of the wazapp.zip downloaded from the github... so: /client FOLDER and all its subfolders, keeping the (sub)folders structure. after that delete 2 files from that zip - wazapp and wazapp_init... then copy that zip into /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp FOLDER and extract it there... You'll be prompted if You wanted to overwrite the files with the same names or not - choose overwrite for all...

I did right this but it happened nothing. :D i deinstall und reinstall wazapp and try it again.

And a second and a bit stupid question: The 11. step, do I have to write also "and wait" or should I only wait. :D :p

EDIT: And sorry for my fault with folder und file. I didn't phrased right.

EDIT 2: Ok. After deleting the .db file on my phone I downloaded the dev-files and did this (image was1.jpg)

I deleted the two files.

then I transfered it to my N9, opened rooted Filebox and moved that client.zip to /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp

then i extracted the client.zip in that folder but I didn't have to overwrite something.

then i opened terminal, entered devel-su and rootme as the password
i executed: apt-get install python
i executed: cd /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp
i ececuted: chmod 777 *
i exit termin

-> it doesen't work

where is the problem?

- "apt-get install python-dateutil" is the line to be executed
- check wazapp (sub)folders to see that files are really moved into proper (sub)folders (client.zip should have 2.4MB, 3 subfolders UI, Models, i18n)
- check that You have developer mode on (settings->security->dev.mode)
- You did reboot ?

Boys, boys, boys... If you are not capable of installing the dev version with all these zellig instructions then I recommend not to bother installing any longer because the dev version is more unstable (currently) then the last beta. You will spend days trying to install it and in the end you will have unfinished product and you will come here to complain it's not working properly :)

Although I tried receiving pictures and it works very nicely! But there are some other/new problems which makes the dev version unusable ATM. It goes offline for no reason and it's UI jams so you cannot see what buttons you are pressing. That's right, you can press buttons but you don't see what you are doing.

I reinstalled the beta and it's much better although it crashes all the time :)

You should wait until an official release is out.

You risk completely screwing up your Wazapp and you do not know what you are doing with it, its a simple copy and paste, but you need to make sure file permissions are set correctly ect.

It is a DEV version meaning only for Developers or Tech Savvy people, from the looks of it, you don't fall into either category. So stay away until 2.7 comes out!

You don't need to chmod 777 ANYTHING for wazapp to work.

Don't give full permissions to any app unless it NEEDS them, and wazapp does NOT need them at all.

You only need to give it permissions of 755!
