Right, in steps this is what you do.

1) Open Settings
2) Press Security
3) Press Developer Mode
4) Slide the slider for developer mode to the right so that it is enabled
5) Let it install the necessary things
6) Go to the app screen
7) Open Terminal
8) Type in

9) Click on the scissors icon in Terminal (Top Right)

10) Select all the text, and then copy and paste it onto this thread!

Optional: Email the copied text to yourself, then on your PC put the text into Notepad and then upload the .txt file here.

hmm.. interesting. There were a couple of creative ideas earlier about group messaging, including color coded bubbles for each user and username outside/beside the speech bubbles. The combination of both would make it perfect.

I hope rewriting the UI code meansns reduction of lag while scrolling in lists and chat. The smoother the better. And hopefully notifications in the chats list about who sent a new message and how many.

Had the same problem when i tested the devel branch a week ago. I removed it, reinstalled 0.2.6 then re-upgraded only to have the same problem again.

If you want a working wazapp, just stick to 0.2.6!

However right now in the dev version (0.2.6.30), If I delete my db and let wazapp recreate it, when I sync my contacts only a couple of them get synced, so I was looking at the structure of both 0.2.6 and 0.2.6.30 and there the same, so I restored the old db and my contacts are there (most of them, cause for some reason I'm not getting all of them on any release of wazapp)

Are you sure you have them in international format? So far I've seen that's the only reason your contacts might not appear.

International format meaning having them with country code? if so none of them are in international format, but I don't understand why most of my contacts appear on wazapp and only like five of them wont and I know they have whatsapp.

I have the same problem with WhatsApp on Symbian, so it *might* not be Wazapp related.

Well, yeah... that's what i mean, as far as i know, whatsapp protocol needs your contacts in the addressbook to include the respective country code for the sync to work; which is logical since you register using your number with country code to begin with.

If you already have most of your contacts in wazapp, just try adding the country code to those five who don't, and sync again.

i installed the original wazapp beta release and since it was the initial release it was as expected hugely flawed and as a result i uninstalled, since then i haven't really been following the updates, until just today when i installed the latest update and i must say i am just thrown back at how much work all you devs have put in since, from what i can see so far the current release is pretty damn stable and bug free, so just wanted to say thanks, it is much appreciated, loving all the little aesthetic elements, really make for a nice UI, and as-if you guys haven't done enough already the next release to have group convo, multimedia messaging and status updates?..........what more can us n9 users ask for, its devs like you that make the n9 community such a good community to be part of, on behalf of all the n9 users, thanks!

Just have a look on page 159 of this thread , the developer himself says that he is busy in re-writing the whole UI to incorporate changes for making group chats and file receiving possible.This update is anyhow going to be a major one according to the sources. Just be patient try the repos (at ur own risk),

Remove the wazapp database
It's located at /home/user/.wazapp/YOUR_IMEI.db

Hi,

I acknowledged the error you reported (https://github.com/tgalal/wazapp/issues/78). The fix mentioned by CepiPerez is a temporary solution that would make wazapp work again by deleting your wazapp conversation history. The bug itself should be taken care of in next release. Thanks for taking the time to provide those logs.

Wazapp is working almost fine for me. Almost, I say, because every time I move from wifi zone to 3G zone, it looses connection. To make sure that wazapp is working, when moving that way, I have to "Quit" wazapp and open it again - then 3g connection is stablished.

Problem is that sometimes I forget to do that, and people complain that I'm not responding their messages, because in their phones my status continues "online".

Will tgalal (or anyone else) solve this problem in next release?

Clarifying: I love wazapp and am very grateful to tgalal for sharing his work.

To delete the database open terminal type:
devel-su
(password) rootme
rm /home/user/.wazapp/YOUR_IMEI.db

Hello, I did:
Deleted everything that has to do with WhatsApp and waxppplugin. Wazapp +. Db
I installed WhatsApp new, it did not start yet.

I've followed these instructions.

1. download latest dev .zip from wazapp github ( https://github.com/tgalal/wazapp/zipball/dev )
2. extract .zip on Your pc
3. delete wazapp & wazapp_init files from that client folder
4. now zip only /client folder with all subfolders & structure
5. transfer it to Your N9
6. open rooted Filebox (password: rootme) and move that .zip to /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp folder
7. extract .zip in that folder accepting to overwrite all existing files
8. open terminal, enter devel-su, then rootme as the password
9. execute command: apt-get install python-dateutil and wait ( Packagename was wrong in previous description)
10. execute: cd /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp
13. execute: chmod 755 *
11. exit terminal
12. start Wazapp from Your homescreen

i can start the programm, sync... but i cant see that i can start group chat or sending a picture ?? or is it only possible to recieve a picture and group chat?

Only receiving works as has been stated an unbelievable amount of times!

Ask a friend to send you a pic or add you to a group.

Maybe you haven't correctly installed the dev version, but it should work, I have succesfully received files from my mates using Wazapp so not sure what the problem is.

Run wazapp using the terminal and when your friend sends you the image check if theres any errors.
