First of all great thanks to Tarek for this app.

I've read the entire thread but only one person was asking about background internet connection.
On my n9 the issue is about need to run the connection before and manually, otherwise you see "Offline" at the top of the wazapp window and apparently cant send or receive messages.
It's not going online even if you connect to the internet after - if you didnt connect before, you have to quit the application, connect to the internet and run the app again.
If there's no other app running with internet connection (like skype, facebook or browser), the connection shuts down and wazapp is offline again.

Notice that all internet settings ("allow background connection") are switched on. experiencing this problem both with wifi and gprs.

Thank you again! Hope you can help me telling what caused this problem or fix this bug

installed the application successfully
and registered my number and wazapp was aded into my accounts, then
closed the application and when i
open it again it says 'initializing' then
disappears (after 2 to 3 sec).
I tried to reboot my device but the same problem remains and then i uninstalled
and re-installed it again but stil the
problem persist, i tried all three versions, please help? *frustrated*

Tgalal i am impressed, it seems that you have achieved with the rest of the team what whatsapp develeppores themselves couldn't do, speaking of wich you mentioned something about n900, java is still out of the question with lame emulators, why not consider porting the dependencies with wazapp package?! you can hit the jackpot! keep up the good work, you really impressed me!

first of all thanks for this app ;)

I am really looking forward to using it :cool:

As it is the first time I will be using it, I have a question though:

Can you choose your contacts that you want to synchronize with Whatsapp? Or does it automatically upload all telephone numbers of all contacts? :confused:

Unfortunately the termimal cant find it, i've just tried using normal and as a root but Im geting a 'not found' result, thanks

i am from Argentina and I'm using nokia n9 wazapp and it works perfect! You found a bug report it by mail to the address stated in About, but no matter the bug, does not bother me now. Thank you very much to the developer!!

Hello, I'm using a Nokia N9 Wazapp in Argentina and found a bug. You
probably have already reported it. When I'm listening to music with
the music player that comes with the OS and get a message stops the
music and played back. Is the theme of Pause music. I have a Nokia
N9-1_PR_001 PR1.2 30.2012.07

This error had it with the official version on my nokia E5 and does
not bother me at all. I reported the bug at some point to solutions
and wazapp is even better.

I'm using the first version 1.6; what is the diferent, to version 1.7 and 1.8, because the 1.6 version is ready, and I have a fear to change and wazzap don't function anymore .... is necesary change to version 1.8.

Estoy usando la version 1.6, Cual es la diferenicia sobre la version 1.7 y 1.8, porque con la version 1.6 esta todo bien, y tengo miedo de cambiar la version y que wazzap ya no funcione correctamente; es necesario hacer el cambio a la version 1.8.

Hi,

in the text box to write original shows a line, if I press enter extends to two lines, 3 lines, 4 lines, etc.. Now if I press the button to remove it eliminates text lines but falls into two lines and 1 line is never as originally shown.

I do not know how to capture the screen to send a picture.

Hola a todos para los de Argentina, les cuento que solucioné el problema de “Login failed. Remove your account from accounts manager and re-register o también que mi cuenta había expirado” tal como el amigo nos indica, +541 debajo 16242xxxx me reenvió el codigo y listo ya en línea, el único problema es que de algunas personas no me llega el mensaje de respuesta (sobre todo de los que tienen symbian belle) pero si les llegan mis mensajes, Gracias por hacer a este movil el movil perfecto ahora con Wazapp!!!

sometimes after send a msg, yellow dot is ok, but so slow to send to the user, keeping yellow dot, long time to become green, is this the problem of the server??

'Give it a rest' mentality doesn't fix anything. It might be us in the end, still why not post cat pictures in Community, we're all love and pringles when it comes to felines, such a lovely community, cats also communicate. I keep connecting for a long time....even it have connected once in 016,but cannot send message so i up to 018,017skipped, not connecting keep showing on the top, but when i changed back the original push name, it can work

can some problem mentioned by the above reply i think,
cannot delete chat,
group message no show who send from,
no status change?

Of course, but last I checked the lingua-franca for TMO/FMC has always been English.
There's always been an expectation that people speak that as best as they can.
To do otherwise when one CAN speak English is pretty poor netiquette....
Of course, if a user honestly can't speak English, then posting in their language is fine.
Anyway this is all off-topic.....
Just try to keep it to English peeps, you'll hit a wider audience who can or cannot help.

Me ocurrio igual. Pideles a tus amigos que almacenen tu numero en sus directorio con el prefijo de tu pais. +54.
A mi me resulto haci.

a suggestion for the app:

when replying, the text messages does not move up, and needs the user to scroll up the message to see the most recent one.

they system should automatically move the messages up and show the most current one..

OFFTOPIC: No, it's bad netiquette. I'm a spanish speaker myself, and use English. This is an already established english-spoken community, as a newcomer, you should respect the rule... what if everybody started writing in their own languague? German, Dutch, Arabic, Chinese... it'd be a pain to read.

ONTOPIC: Works as a charm, thanks tgalal! Donated again. I support the UI improvements mentioned earlier, I think those should come first of all.

REPORT: It finally send me the sms, no probs so far except in sending messages, the last three msgs I sent like 10 min ago are still with the red dot... is that normal?? due to the server or something?? (never used whatsapp before)

Thanks, Tgalal.

Everything is working very well. Some contacts did not know who I was, but some of them minutes later saw my name associated to my phone.

The only real problem I have is when I chat to another N9 user. He receives my messages delayed (from yellow to green four hours later). I receive his messages in real time.
