Re: Summer'12 Device Program
I am donating/diverting my Nokia N9 (award from "New Apps for Nokia Store" activity due to "SymPy Interactive Shell" software) to itsnotabigtruck :
Topic "Donating (award) devices to eyes, isnotabigtruck and qole ?" If possible anybody (from "Community Awards" or "Coding Competition") could help to exchange the N9 for a N950, as a N950 was the preference of itsnotabigtruck. And feel free to donate to eyes and qole, they need a N950 and N9, respectively. |

Make sure your old Nokia Developer account is properly linked to your current Nokia account. First you need to make sure you can login to your Nokia account. To be safe: go to https://sso.developer.nokia.com/logi...4290-268008791 and introduce login & password. If you are not sure or find any problems then click "Forgot your password?" and proceed. Also if unsure, create a new Nokia account. Once you are properly logged in: do you still have problems? |
Re: Summer'12 Device Program

Re: Summer'12 Device Program
I linked my nokia developer account with the nokia account and the address was i saw was wrong.
I tried to put in my town in "nearest city" field, but it does not exist in this list. I added a town nearby which is in the list and added the correct town name to the after the zip code in the "postal code" field. I hope I re-keyed my address information properly? |
Re: Summer'12 Device Program
Thanks Qgil
Doing the SSO erased the city, account is now updated and correct. |

Qole already commented on rcolistete donation thread. For what is you comment good for, estel? Why can't you just be quiet? |
Re: Summer'12 Device Program
Nicolai, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that qole commented, that - indeed - he isn't interested in getting device. If it's some misunderstanding on my side, excuse me, but I've red qole's response 3th times, just to be sure, and I think I'm still sure he (isn't* interested in getting one.
As for You comment about being quiet, I think it apply for You exactly the same way, so I'll refrain from commenting it. Also, I don't see anything rude, in my answer that swapping someone's N9 for N950 isn't possible. Especially, that he targeted (also) Council in his question... --- Quim once asked, to stop attempts of bringing CA-results-grievances to this productive thread. Considering, that we have serious issue of nokia.developer accounts, that we're trying to settle, can we just comply and separate those things? /Estel |

I pointed out why rcolistete assumed qole would be interested in a new device. |
Re: Summer'12 Device Program
...which result in qole being not interested on getting device, and rcolistete asking here to donate device for qole. Still, you see something wrong in me providing most up-to-date info about that, + providing answer to question about swapping N9 for N950?
Anyway, You could PM me with your opinion about relevance of my posts. Instead, You spam this topic, accusing me of posting unneeded messages. Seriously? Can we go back on topic, please? /Estel |

Re: Summer'12 Device Program
Quim, any updates for us?
I can only imagine that the delay and hassle of re-checking developer details to make absolutely sure they're correct before sending out device is tremendous, all because of a major DB merge screwup. |
Re: Summer'12 Device Program
Mmm not really. Just the fact that we just passd a.weekend, it's July and there are other seeding activities going. We have been processing devices quite regularly since we started receiving data. Please be a bit patient. Thanks!

Re: Summer'12 Device Program
Quim, are You absolutely sure, that lack of field "City" - that got scrapped by empty field "nearest city" - isn't any problem? I know that many users provided it again, but I can imagine, that some of them may be not following this thread (we have holiday's season, after all).
Considering, that some user's account got merged with other's people ones (like SD69, who got mail and phone of someone else, or vi, who ended up living in Papua New Guinea), it may be even bigger problem. Sure, SD69 and vi_ corrected them, but what about winners that could have missed this merge chaos? Side note - quite unrelated, but still valid - I wonder if people, whose personal data got exposed to others (like alien phone and mail that SD69 got, or living address of someone from New Guinea) without their permission, are very happy about that. It seems, that our winners data could have also landed goddess know where. /Estel |

Re: Summer'12 Device Program
If the DDP people has a problem with a specific address (or lack of) they will contact the developer directly over email. They have done it already in some cases.
If you are concern about the integrity of your data then you are encouraged to ask directly at developer.nokia.com. I'm not part of that team and this is not the place for discussion. Thank you for your understanding. PS: following the Nokia Store and Qt 5 activity threads one can see that almost every day someone else shows up reporting the reception of a devices. They are coming. |
Re: Summer'12 Device Program
Hi qgil, is it possible for us developers who aren't able to spend lots of time developing to obtain an N950?
I'm willing to pay as well, I don't expect a free device. i work 40+ hours at a hedge fund but have still managed to create 2 apps for the Nokia N9 currently on the market despite my hectic working hours! |

actually what needed to be done was to add some artificial value, like 1$, and statement that this is a gift on the customs declaration. |

If customs passed n950 for damagedspine for the first time with no problem, they should do the same for me, but AFAIK they are random and do whatever they do. I hope they'll be shocked to see nokia officially telling it's a gift and they have nothing to take mony from. My advice to save this form and maybe if it option to make attachment here of one that anyone can use in that case. |

Re: Summer'12 Device Program
Well, crap. Apparently, my device arrived July 1, and was held in customs the whole week because it doesn't have a NTC Type Approval sticker on the box.
Called DHL, and they said that I'd have to get it myself, and should I have it, they'll pick it up at my place and come back with the phone. Whelp, time to deal with helpdesk agents at a government office. The horror. Dang nabbit! So close too! |
Re: Summer'12 Device Program
Haven't You got mail, announcing that device got shipped? It should be send in advance, if I remember correctly?

Re: Summer'12 Device Program
Apparently noone from CA winners has received a mail, going to call DHL to check if they have a surprise for me :)
TBC EDIT: No surprises :( |
Re: Summer'12 Device Program
Hmm, when were they send actually, was it DHL express or freight (road) delivery ?
didnt get any mail, nor seems it like DHL has anything waiting for me here. |

Re: Summer'12 Device Program
I'm quite worried about lack of "we've shipped it" mail (apparently, even people that have received devices, never got mail informing to expect it). It's holiday season, and it's quite hard to coordinate being available all the time. Personally, I'm traveling quite a lot, and due to that, every week or two I change my address at Nokia developer, to match my location :/
Well, I hope everything will turn out OK. /Estel |
