Hi all
I am new in maemo.org. I am an Oracle DBA, system analysis and programmer.

There some maemo brothers facing problem with facebook status and facebook sharing:

when I / they tried to re-validate the facebook setting in setting/sharing , I / they get the following error:

"no network connection available, operation canceled"


So I have that problem too since 15 may 2012 .

I Think ther is no problem with our n900 or the facebook package, The problem is from facebook site itself, Thay change something to kick us out and let our n900 die, and maemo OS die too. ASAP.

This is the game from facebook and google to let android to be the best than other OS like maemo. and to let us change our phones with another OS like android.

My brother have Samsung galaxy S II & iphone and he can access to his account from both phones , WHY ??? he have android in his phone and apple OS in the other.

Facebook can't play with apple (iphone), nokia (symbian), google (android), but they can play with the left behind OS like us (maemo).

Let us wait and see who will fix this problem if it is just an authentication. WHO HAVE THE SOURCE CODE.

OR facebook will die in our n900.

Who agree with me.

I dont use, nor care about Facebook. Why would you waste your time on a site like that?

metal gear solid game...

Maybe our n900 has been given the facebook version of foxdie,

FACEBOOK DIE virus.. :D

Yesterday, fMobi logged into & read my Facebook account normally, but when I tried to leave a comment on a couple of threads, the message "Forbidden" was returned.

Worked OK on an Ubuntu desktop.

As far as I recall, the official maemo facebook app is closed source so we would have to wait for the relevant owner (facebook/Nokia) to update it.

You could be in for a long wait.

I think you're confusing the n9 with the n900.
