is it a known issue that unrestricted UI causes the side-icon(favicon alike) during alert notification shown in full size rather than scaled to match the status bar pixel?

Nope, I don't get what you mean but the current unrestricted-system-ui doesn't modify the status area, only the menu.

For example, see the alert on status bar when sociality crashes, see the Icon doesn't scale accordingly?

If not, can you try rebooting?

I experienced this for quite sometime now actually, so rebooting doesn't really help and not using custom theme either, just blanco

could you try removing mag's repo first...

as root,
apt-get purge incepted-repo-enabler*

No no no, it's not cause of the repo, you'll need to download the deb from Nokia and incept it, it's the way inception works.
