If you install Tweak T-3 from N9QTweak and install Coderus' unrestricted system-ui you get this behaviour by default...Don't install from the same tweak battery percentage enabler as the icon then gives way...

Honestly, I don"t understand this request :confused: ... I mean battery icon is just to symbolize state of the battery and battery remaining, and % icon ... the same :) !!! So having both of them it is like having 2 times the hours :D

What are you trying to do? Just use N9QTweak and refer to its PDF/Wiki for this...Its all in Tweak T...

I have a few problems with N9QTweak tweak T, so I'm trying the manual method.

Tweak T has been troubleshooted very well both in the thread and the PDF/Wiki...Read them and try...

I'm guessing you might've installed it twice, or the the order of the applets is written twice. You used coderus right? Did u used pannable or static?

i used deb file i got from the a online site.. previous before i installed the deb file i used n9tweek and installed the system ui now even after uninstall its doesnt go off. its stil in mirror mode! how do i undo this?

So which is recommend & why, THIS or Coderus's Status Menu?
I imagine they both have their strengths & weaknesses, in-depth experiences/opinions appreciated.
I've already installed MaG's incepted repo, for packages that need inception. TY.

I use coderus' implementation from N9QTweak T-3...It uses MAG's music controls too and social status updater (something I remove as I'm not very social :p)

coderus' work is more up-to-date and it gives you system widgets and tools which IMO are nice (of course you can disable those you don't require)

coderus was updating his sys-ui and components till a month back...since the past month he has become more involved in wazapp as you know...MAG OTOH has not updated/added any features to his set since quite some time already...

Anyway MAG had stated in the very beginning that he was providing a platform for others to exploit with add-ons so coderus has exploited it pretty well :D

coderus has nicer toggles IMO for both IM status as well as regular utilities...His widgets and tools are also more current with features like screen blanking etc

Why not just use N9QTweak tweak T-3 once and give it a try ;) It will install everything by coderus and whatever is missing from coderus (music controls + social status updater) is also installed from MAG so you get the best of both worlds :D


Edit: you may want to read up once on tweak t-3 though...

I do have some problems with the coderus' unrestricted system-ui, just as I have with status menu extentions.
Your phone will go crazy if you have a lock password set on "no waiting time".

I found some time ago a workaround for this, but somehow it doesn't work for everybody I guess?

And there was some alarm bug....

Using Coderus Unrestricted UI, one has to consciously aware that Music control widget has "issues" with the Music App itself. You have to wait about 30 seconds for the music app to load.

Second thing is the Alarm bug, from my observation, it seemed that your lock screen will freeze with the Alarm triggered for the first time. Subsequent snoozing is fine. It will drive you crazy in the morning. LOL

MAG's Unrestricted UI doesn't have all the problem mentioned but you get fewer tools and options. Also the orientation lock on MAG's version doesn't really work well, particularly on the browser.

Guys, I tried to get back the normal "transfer bar" on the status menu instead of using "transfer" button on Coderus's Widget. But I can't seem to get it work. Any ideas?

Hi all, i recently installed unrestricted system-ui so I can get battery percentage and i am really loving it, but one question, the status bar area at top of the lock screen doesn't show battery percentage, only once it's swiped away does the percentage appear, is there a way to show percentage on lock screen status bar area too?

Enabling battery percentage in status area

To enable battery percentage you'll need to set a gconf key:

gconftool-2 -s /desktop/meego/status_area/display_percentage -t bool true

To disable it, replace true with false in the previous command.

running T-3-1-1-0 gives icon only (no %)
running T-3-1-1-6 gives % only (as expected)

i had status menu ext installed before, i uninstalled & restored to stock UI before applying sys-ui

tried remove/install of sys-ui multiple times too

Indeed that's what I posted too that its an either/or situation so both can't be enabled at the same time...

There is an old version of unrestricted sys-ui which can do that; its deep in this thread... If I find it I'll post here...

not reqd. - just wanted a confirmation

also,
the availability icon for my sip account does not toggle at all (i need to long press and open the full menu) - all other toggles work properly - Skype/facebook etc.
any ideas why ??, when i had the status menu extension, the toggle worked perfectly in it
