Old protocol 1.2 has notifications when avatar is changed, but the status always has to wait until phones synchronize. If they fixed that in 1.4 then that's good news :)

yeah, but still not the pushname, so you dont know who is in group until they wrote something :D

Status notifications exists in old protocol.
You are missing them in login process.

I had troubles with disabling push services on inactivity, but still peoples reporting socket activity loss after setting unavailable presence.

i think the logic is let it remain as it is because its working so why do more work if it isint that fesiable . So it should be like when protocol 1.3 gets depriciated and1.5 is out work upon it so its get supported for a long time. It will have more value for work ...just my thoughts. Thanx

Yeah I get your point of view but:

1.- They jumped from 1.2 to 1.4.
2.- They could ban people still using 1.2 since none of their official clients is using it.

That's why I'm just a little worried (but not too much).
