I'm on the verge of installing CSSU. Thanks

If the directory doesn't exist, Yappari should start. If it doesn't, then something is very wrong with your phone.

after the latest update and a restart i'm having Yappari: error loading shared libraries : libtelepathy-qt4.so.0 :cannot open shared object file : No such file or directory
i also instaled new programs , home/user/.yappary won't create , any ideas?
purge and reinstall has no effect

Hello, after I installed CSSU, everything went back to normal but Yappari won't still open. I uninstalled and reinstalled it but no difference. Thanks

From terminal (from the user account, not root) try:

run-standalone.sh /usr/bin/Yappari

And upload the output of that to pastebin.com or something to see if I can help you.

Re: [Announce] Yappari - A WhatsApp Client for the N900 ONLY

after using yappari for a long time now, without any problems,it wont log in at my work hot-spot. I restarted Yappari and now Yappari says "cant resolve server (dns)". The log also says the same thing. It was working fine before the reset....any idea's..?? I restarted because images were not loading in Yappari, but that's not THAT big of a problem now ;)

Did you install Yappari via Application Manager?

Try from terminal:

sudo apt-get install libtelepathy-qt4-0 libtelepathy-glib0 libtpsession

Or:

Enable extras/devel and try: sudo apt-get install --reinstall yappari

That means your N900 loses the Internet connection. The hotspot must be a router that doesn't support Nokia Power Saving mode (common problem).

You can turn it off but your battery will last like 2 hours. But you can try it at least once to discard is another problem.

Go to your N900 Settings -> Internet Connections -> Select your current WiFi connection -> Edit -> Next -> Next -> Advanced -> Other -> Power Saving

Then try with intermediate and with off.

It's called Yappari, not WhatsApp. WhatsApp is another thing.

From terminal: nslookup c.whatsapp.net

Does it say "can't resolve" ?

I see.. I know that is not the right place but do you have suggestions of what can I do? Thanks a lot.
Can it be a temporary server error?

Check your DNS Servers? Change them to Google DNS or OpenDNS?

For example:

Settings -> Internet Connections -> Select your 3G/2G connection -> Edit -> Next -> Next -> Advanced -> IP Address -> Uncheck Auto-retrieve DNS, and type 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as primary and secondary DNS server.

Then check for basic internet connetions (open your browser and see if you can browse the Internet). if it works then try Yappari. If it doesn't then check again the Auto-retrieve DNS and forget about Yappari because there's nothing else you can do.

I guess I can't help you. I don't know what's wrong with your phone. It says that package is installed but those files aren't in your phone.

You can try as a last resort:

sudo apt-get install --reinstall libtpsession

But if that doesn't work then I don't know what else you can do.

you have to reflash your phone, install CSSU if you can, it will correct all errors. and after that try to install yappari and other programs
