hello,
i have a simple question to ask
as i click create chat, the contacts list appears but i was wondering why do i have contacts with no name but phone numbers above them? Is this like a hack that identifies the people that added me to their contacts list but i haven't added them yet?

It can be:

1.- People that belongs to a group that you belong
2.- People that have talked to you and you don't have them in your address book.
3.- People that have you in their address book and have clicked on your profile but never talked to you.

The most probable is 3 since I think for reasons 1 & 2 Yappari catches their nickname at least.

NOTE: Official Android client doesn't do this.

hi guys i want to ask that if we by mistake send a voice message or downloading a image or audio file how to cancel it becouse there is no option of it while downloading a photo.

A feature request... When creating a group, can you please allow us to tag users for the group instead of selecting one-by-one, it's terribly laborious to do.

Have you got problem with WPS protections?! I have "connection problem" very often...

Edit: I think it's a problem of connection between n900 and my router. I must try to risolve it before to think to a problem with yappari!

when synchronizing it give two consecutive errors:

There has been a fatal error synchronizing contacts.
whatsapp servers down? Error = 1

There has been a fatal error synchronizing contacts.

any fix needed or is just temporary issue?

actually upload any file from "2G" getting problem i have uploading speed of just "2 kb/s"?? my girlfriend uses the same sim card but she send me mp3's on whatsapp but i cant even send a 100kb image, please scorpius do something about this GPRS stuff, and any possibility to add "resend" button for failed file?. please help

hey dude plss bring out the latest version of yappari as tthe new version of whatsapp is alreay out and that is the only reason whatsapp server is creating problems in synchronizing contacts

@Scorpius hackers behind WhatsApiNet and disa.com hacked it. Synchronization was moved to xmpp with extra features like delta sync. Sources not published yet, will let you know when i get it ;)

Now that's good news. I mean the part that was moved to XMPP. I guess now synchronization is done in the same connection that the messaging uses.

That will even reduce the phone lag when synchronization is done in the N900.

Though I hope they haven't changed the version (and the dictionary) because that would be a problem.

you will (unfortunately) have to read previous posts. for example, the last 10 posts indicate that this is not just happening to you.. it is happening for everyone of us.

if you are able to assist in hacking Whatsapp protocol, that would be great. Otherwise, a fix will likely be found by Scorpious/Coderus, in their own time

Got a message from server saying there is a new version, i was like wow that is good stuff. It was whatsapp and not yappari :P

yeah i'm seeing the synchronization error as well. if 404 is http error then it means not found. maybe they changed the URL?

Has anyone else been getting messages from "Server" that there is a new version available for WhatsApp..? It's really annoying, I've been getting those messages like every 20 minutes... I tried blocking it, but I'm still getting those messages. Does anybody know what to do ?

I've reflashed my N900 today.

When I tried to register my account on Yappari there was a message saying "old version". And my registration could not be completed.

Do I have to wait for an update too?

i had the same problem yesterday.
1.register your phone number on another phone or easier on pc via bluestack (android emulator) until the step where you have to enter the digit code ( 6 numbers)
- use bluestack, so you don't have to switch your sim card
2. You should get an SMS with the digit code
3. DON'T enter the digit code on the other phone/pc
4. start yappari and continue the registration on N900
5. enter the digit code you got before
6. yaparri should log in
