First: fixed.

Second is a Maemo bug in the image-viewer. Workaround: when you get the error in the image-viewer, hit back, long press the picture, select details, type anything in the title, press done, and then select the picture again.

Maybe I'll autoadd random titles to JPEGs to avoid this stupid Maemo bug.

You know what is SAD????? that the image-viewer in the scratchbox (the Maemo development) doesn't have this bug!!!

hello scorpius,

i m also facing the same problem in a new updated version of yappari 1.1.42 Build 4503.

problem is profile picture of contacts(friends) are not updating, only profile status of contacts are updating...

plz resolve this...

Your new to Yappari so is kinda logic question but you should explore the application before ask this.

Anyway.

Tap on the name of the contact (top of the chat window), a menu will be open and there you have the option to send multimedia.

I haven´t try but it seem that video is not working (at least for someone that post that), image works.

Yappari 1.1.43 is in the repositories now fixing the non-english keyboard arrows problem, the profile picture synchronization, the ghost + contact can be deleted now and it won't appear again, etc.

Is it an image you received or a profile picture?

Try hitting back, long press the image, select details and type anything in the title.

RE: Online/Offline in Yappari .. I prefer Scorpius' method (always online) over the standard one.
Reason: I don't understand why one of my contacts should know when I'm typing to someone else.

Therefore, @Scorpius, if you ever decide to go the 'standard' way, I hope there will be an option to use 'your' way :p

scorpius, serioslyy since the yappari has been releases i've not sent even a single video frm here cuz wenever i try to send ther's and error, network is just full no problem there, yest ma gf sent me 3.33 mb video so easy and she's also using the same sim card, she said the video is "66 mb" yeahh and i got that full video on watsapp in just 3 mb and quality also is superb, i dunno what android things play with. scorpius please atleast add a "retry" button please or atleast add "auto retry attempt for 1 minuts, 2 minuts or anything" in settings please please, i can even send 60kb images mahnnnn, iam tired of this problem please help please

installed v43, still got ghost contact as "error.us" also a you+, every time I try a new sync and still only a third of my contacts appear xP

Got the problem with the image, when go back image appears as broken, so can´t edit details.

Image recieved, profile works fine.

Man I don't know why WhatsApp hates you, but they close the connection when you try to upload something. Try doing it from a WiFi connection and not from your cell phone provider connection to see if that changes anything.

But I can't do anything about it. They disconnect you, I can't help you.

Looks like new Samsung Galaxy phones send images that Maemo image viewer do not support. It only happens to me when the other user has a Galaxy.

Anyway I would have to check it. I can't be fixing Yappari every day I have work to do :(
