hi scorpius,

everytime, i open my frnd chat box in yappari, it opens but suddenly yappari log-off... it shows in bottom that CONNECTION CLOSED BY SERVER instead of logged-in... and, after 5-10 sec it again logged-in.

then if i open another frnd chat box, the same happens..

i m using Yappari 1.1.44 Build 4531.

plz my dear frnd help me..

Is the log really 87MB? :eek:
Maybe you must delete existing log, reopen yappari, and get proper log.
This 87MB will fill up your rootfs.
[EDIT] well, not rootfs but /home. still, 87MB of log is too big. delete it

I don't see any problem in that long log. The phone disconnects from the WiFi and obviously Yappari disconnects. Apart from that, everything looks fine.

i hv tried it ur suggestion while using wifi connection then there is no such problem, but while using network 3G data pack, then only face this problem... the problem(yappari disconnection) occurs only when i opened anyone private chat box, but at same time i use internet browser then i don't find any problem in browsing...

so how can we say that its disconnect by network service provider.

can i completely delete yappari from my n900 then installed back to phone..

will this solve my issue...??

funnily, after sync some of avatars disappeared... is it only my problem? I'm sure that photos were not removed by those users.

Same thing happened to me. I received from those users a "not-authorized" error when trying to get their photo.

I don't know why it happens, but looks like a new security feature from WhatsApp. Maybe I'm not in their address books anymore or something.

There's nothing to fix it happens in official WhatsApp clients too.

I haven't researched if it only happens with old official clients or all of them.

The thing is, before, you could add any number in your address book, and click on Sync or wait for Synchronization on official clients and then you could see the profile picture of that person. That was clearly a violation of privacy.

WhatsApp now fixed that and it seems that unless both parties have each other numbers in their address books, they can't see the profile picture.

I have several reports of people with official WhatsApp clients with the same "problem". It's not a problem, it's actually a security fix.

Search for "WhatsApp picture" in twitter or whatever. You'll see it happens to everybody.

Good news seems whatsapp has added new security. U can't view profile picture of person who hasn't saved ur number in his/her phone contact.

When you change the SIM card Yappari will detect the change and will ask you to register the new number.

If you selected to keep the old number my mistake you can delete the file /home/user/.config/scorpius/yappari.conf.

Hi Scorpius,
I have a suggestion: how about changing the title for the notifications when a message is sent to a group, now it displays the contact name and can be interpreted as a private message, I would put the group name instead. I've already made a patch for this, if you want I can post it.
