Using filebox or hamsterfiler copy the yappari.log file from /home/user/.config/scorpius/ to mydocs then send him that file.
Or if you dont have them installed, in xterm type(without sudo or anything):-

cp .config/scorpius/yappari.log MyDocs/

That will copy yappari.log to mydocs, send him that.

thank you so much that was very helpful, i didnt get that far the previous time. only problem now is to physically send him that. i used filebox and one of the options is to share it, do i then email him the log? or post it on one of these messages?

I gave my old N900 to my 10 year old daughter. Yappari worked well last few months, but now it doesn't start up any more. It starts a black screen with a spinning wheel and then disappears. I have no clue. She may have installed some game, ruining libraries?

There was quite a big log file, I renamed it, uninstalled Yappari, installed it again, rebooted. Version 1.44 all the way. Tried to start up Yappari a few times. Log file is underneath, I replaced incoming phone number by 31699999999.

Thanks! I guess I'll have to delete some more. Engine starting up now, showing little icon in top area. Starting program is progressing little further, showing "Create Chat" and "Logged in", and then disappearing. No time to fetch log file now, will do so tonight.

Indeed, I deleted my wife's log - the phone number in the log above - and Yappari came back to normal behaviour. She admitted overloading the poor girl with photos. :mad:

hello, can you please add lame or ffmpeg to yappari so it could just make that big file into small size? please can you? because it takes long time on GPRS to send., example this line "lame --mp3input -b 64 input.mp3 output.mp3"

Any one experiencing the problem that yappari keeps on staying at the "waiting for connection" status when I use GPRS/EDGE? It won't connect at all with GPRS/EDGE while it works well when I use wifi.

scorpius please add "retry" button for files please please. i tried other sim cards too, they reach at 60 or 70 then error. please scorpius add retry button in taskbar so select whichever files r failed and resend them. deeply request scorpius please. i only can send right now is 60 kb images that too after trying 7 to 8 times really. please scorpius helpp with new update please

latest version 1.1.44 of yappari is in extras-testing repository. Installing it with application manager or apt-get in X-Terminal will also pull the necessary packages.

By gprs/edge you really mean just those protocols, or also 3G, ie. all cellular based data? I have no issue with 3G and there is no 2G here to use for a test.

Also, does anything get logged as scorpius can only work from tangible evidence of the problem?

in yappari when i send a message or receive a message, the time of the message that appears on the right is so messed up, so i can't know what the exact time is.
For example, you sent me a msg 10 am it will appear on my N9000 as 5 pm maybe. can anyone help?

FIXED IT
although the time and date were right, it wasn't working...
Just removed the battery and set the time and date again, everything works like a charm now:)

hey guys, is there a way to register one time for all ? every time I reboot the phone I have to register in order to log in ... and now it asks me to wait 680 min before I can ask an other registration call lol quite annoying

I have a request for the next update; I think it would be really helpful if you would set the "enter" key to behave normally as "send message" and as a newline when pressed with the shift key, instead of enable/disable it through settings.

Also, when do you think you would be able to release a new update with protocol 1.4 implemented?

Guess that location is not accessible when i connect my n900 with the mass storage mode !

I cannot connect them to a network and access ssh or sftp - any ideas on how else can i access it ?

Can i change this default location to somewhere else ?
