no no

only edit then resize to 75% then saving the pictures after that send it and it works

and am usnig the stock camera not anything else

also any other image not taken by n900 camera is the same issue i have to resize them then send them no converting or what so ever my friend

Weird. But like I said, nobody else has this problem, just you.

If it gets stuck in "Please wait this can take several minutes" means the upload finished and Yappari is waiting for WhatsApp to validate the image as a valid image. Eventually WhatsApp will say something, either an error or a successful transfer message.

it dosen't say anything only stuck at this message till i edit and resize and then it sends works fine so really strange heheheheh

hte picture is taking from n900 in jpg extention when i try to send it it says please wait ....... and nothing happen

until i resize it to 75 % and send the new resized one again it sends with no notification got it !

@salahkhani, are you using gprs connection when trying to send original photos taken by N900?
I tried sending original photo from N900 camera when I was connected to gprs once, but it failed.
I suspect it was because the photo was several hundred KBs and gprs connection not reliable enough for sending it.
Anyway, you should resize your photos before send it on whatsapp, because I don't think your friend will be happy if you always send pictures > 100KB.

A solution for GPRS guys,
maybe yappari must convert them before it send, like convert image into smaller size b4 sending or conver song into smaller size some with the help of built in codes like "lame --mp3input -b 128 input.mp3 output.mp3" benefits'd be low size and fast upload. sorry m just a noob

image resize can be done with package called "imagemagick" so it can be just made a build in to yappari, so whenever u gonna upload a pic then it'll conver it and gone.

Hello Friend, no am not using gprs when i use the camera only the picture mode no gprs with it.....

I remeber there was something like a file which inhance the quality for the camera to be replaced with the original camera file in n900 system I replaced it and the pictures is better than before
could it be the reason !!!!!

I use gprs (2G) mainly, and I have no problems sending photos or even videos (except it's much slower).

Successfully uploaded 18000x18000 px 37MB Jpeg image to WhatsApp servers. With no scaling. Original 37MB was uploaded.

WhatsApp doesn't support resuming as far as I know.

i think you are on GPRS, cuz iam also experiencing that problem, but thanks to scorpious that atleast i can single image now. maximum i can send is 50 kb images and if try to send more than that size it asks retry retry. i cnt upload songs cuz its very slow and it just reaches to 2 percent then stops. i wish it has "resume" button so it could have resumed frm where it was stopped or a function that it should wait until the connection is good to upload, and pause itself when there is a break in connection. cuz it stops uploading when network cuts

when use shift key it will write In english

Yappari uses the Qt framework and can't really control keyboard layouts. If Qt doesn't support your language I guess the only way you can type is using the virtual keyboard.

Recieve an voice note and doesn't show the duration anymore.

Don't know if is supose to work that way on new version.

Not big deal anyways because almost never open voice notes or audios (hate to go to deleted later), so just saying what i note different on new version.

That means the sender didn't set it. Check for the "duration" attribute in the message received in the log:

Yappari doesn't analyze media files and doesn't have a way to know the duration in seconds of a video, audio or a voice message. It takes it from the message.

Not all platforms send the duration.

Scorpius: what do you think about changing the title for the notifications when a message is sent to a group?, actually it shows the contact name and there is no difference with a notification of a private message, there is the risk of answering to a group thinking it's a private message...

The official WhatsApp client sends notification as "USER @ GROUP" but that's too long for the notification bubble of Maemo.

So I had to decide between user and group and I chose user. I could change it to group but I wonder if then some other people will prefer this option instead.

i dont delete all messages so the dialouge is very big, is it possible to implement a word-search function into yappari?

Might be possible, but the GUI for it would be a pain in the *** since there's absolutely no space left to put a couple of buttons for "previous" and "next" occurrence.

Scorpius, you can maybe implement it the way MicroB does searching. Ctrl+F brings a bar where you can input your search. On the right side of that bar is room for prev and next buttons I think... Otherwise with too little < > symbols but then up (^) and down (cant do this character). IMO this leaves enough estate on the GUI.
